Are you keeping up with our blocks? If not, there is still time to catch up. The theory is that making 2 blocks a month won’t take that long, and by the end of the year you will have a sampler quilt.
The blocks this month are 6″ and 12″, don’t forget that each month they will be a different size.
This picture shows the blocks in both the Contemporary and Traditional styles.
To download a printable version of the patterns for the 6″ block and the 12″ block, click on the following link: April BOM.
thank you for the BOM. could you include the name of each of the blocks with the instructions each month?
I cannot name the blocks. I start with a traditional block and then make 4 different versions of it depending on how I color it. Color positions change the name of the block. Sometimes I even “do my own thing” which probably can’t be found in any reference book. Feel free to research block names but for our free online sampler blocks, they will be called “April 2014, May 2014” etc.
Thanks for the BOM. I love the pictures. It never occurred to me to dig into my huge bin of batik scraps for this. Duh. I may be making this two times!
my BOM 2013 is finally finished. I have to admit it came out pretty good. I love it!! thank you for the BOM..
I would like to share a pic with you. how can I do that?
