A Fast Sewer!

Connie had this version of Cobblestone sewed three days ago – and I can’t even get it posted! Ha! Remember her tutorial on picking fabric starting with a charm pack? Here’s the quilt – with Dot, who loves to sleep on Connie’s sewing chair. Such a nice traditional little table topper, don’t you think? I’m working on more orders tonite while I watch the basketball game. Connie’s Cobblestones is still available for $3 sent to Country Threads, 2345 Palm Ave. Garner, IA 50438.

Can you believe it? (I’ll bet I can mow lawn faster than her!)

I need to clarify the ad situation – I’m just not sure why some of you are seeing ads and others are not.

Tomorrow our good friend Rose and her husband Bill are stopping for a visit – I can’t wait to catch up with her. I want to get my porch decorated for Fourth of July before she gets here . They’re staying the night in Garner and requested the Country Threads room at the Garner Inn. Did you know there was such a room?????

Glad you will have a fun visit. Cool that there is a room named after your wonderful quilt shop.

I love the quilt, and I love following you on your blog. I have chickens, and we had goats when our kids were home, so love hearing about all your animals. We had .7″ rain in Oskaloosa tonight. We needed it again. I know you probably don’t need it up there. I have not had any ads on your last two blogs.

Jeanine – no rain here for a bit now and my garden needs a drink to come up! Do you have a program that blocks the ads? Someone suggested that.

What a wonderful little quilt. Will enjoy the pattern, Mary. Thanks to you n Connie for the inspiration.
I finally got an advertisement today. Enjoyed it.
    Basketball game is on here.
June 6th…O My Gosh…60 years ago my husband proposed! Guess he and I forgot today.

Aren’t you and Connie thrilled that a room has been named after your endeavors!!! Will have to remember that in the event we get up your way again. I’m sure the room is cozy and decorated beautifully with a lot of country charm.
I had been seeing ads, on and off, but did not click on any of them. Will have to be more attentive in the future. Hope they pay off.

Brenda – all the rooms have a Garner “interest” – this was about 5 years ago – I felt bad that we closed shortly after.

I see the ads only if I click on COMMENTS.
I’m reading this on my phone, most of the time!

Ads are on the coment page tonight. Love your blog. Thank you for all the info on the farm and quilting. Hope Rick is doing well and you can get some sewing and resting time.

Hi- it looks like you are doing well and Uncle Rick is getting better! Love that I found your blog recently!!

The advertisements – those of us that subscribe to the blog and simply read the email do not see the ads. When I open it to the blog on line – I see the ads. The ads are different for each person based on their personal web searches.

The farm looks great! We miss getting to visit!

Jen – thanks for that input – is that the case for all blogs? I follow several and had not seen that. Yes, Rick is getting better but it is slow going and to say I’m overworked would be an understatement. Ha! Hi to your family!

Jo – I had not thought of that. Maybe this just won’t work for me.

HI–I clicked on the ad; it was for clothes shopping which is funny because I hate to shop for clothes!! Then, I realized it is mostly t-shirts and I just ordered my grand daughter a sign language T since she’ll be taking sign language at school next year. I also ordered fabric with sign language on it to make a pillow case. Soooo, I did check out the ad:)

Didn’t know you guys had a room named after the business at the Garner Inn!!! How cool is that!!!
Connie does sew very fast. Well I think you both do. I guess I just get side tracked and can’t keep my mind in one thing that long. Lol

Mary, I just love the quilt pictured on the davenport. Can you tell me how many how many rows and how many blocks in each row? I had tried to draw it out when you had it on the twin bed, but got busy and gave up. I still think the colors are so very pleasing and my graph paper and colored pencils are ready to go.
As for Connie’s quilt, there is a bigger version of it pictured on page 96 of the July/August 2018 issue of McCall’s Quilting. Their original quilt came from McCall’s Quick Quilts June/July 2017 issue.

Betty – I almost forgot your question. Give me your mailing address – I’ll send you the info.

Do you still have the Cobblestone Patterns available for the $3?
