I buried Benjie today at Millie’s grave-she made me promise before she died. I used a bulb planter and had to dig 3 holes so I could bury all the ashes which came to me in a beautiful carved wood box. Gosh, I miss that annoying little barker but I know he and Millie are sitting on the couch together in Heaven and snacking on chicken in a biscuit crackers, their favorite. Good bye, Benjie! It was a good run while it lasted — for both of us.
So sorry… 🙁 🙁
I cried so much when i read your blog. He was very much loved.
How is your dogma kit going? Blessings, Barbara babscorbitt@ gmail dot com
Millie and Benjie are also smiling down on you and thanking you for keeping promises and being a wonderful friend to both of them. God Bless You.
My experience is that to have a Good Friend you need to be a Good Friend. Mary, you fit the bill in all categories-pets and people.
Thanks for sharing the photo.
You all were a blessing to each other.
Benjie was a very lucky boy indeed. Millie obviously loved him to pieces and I’m sure it was a great comfort to her to know he had a home after she was gone. Also very lucky to land at your house when he needed a new home and a real friend.
Hi Mary,
I was so sad to hear about Benjie leaving us, but forgot all about that he was your mom’s dog, and it is so cool that he is with her now, and also by her grave. Who would have thought about a bulb planter? I am sure they are really happy to be together.
P.S. I also know how much you love your goats, and was sad to know that you had to put one down. They can be such company. Hugs..
Mary that is the most wonderful story…yes the tears are running down my face, but a very wonderful story. Millie and Benjie are so happy…you did a very special thing…
You are such a wonderful & faithful friend!
Blessings to you.
Boy oh boy. I agree. I hope that I get lucky enough to have my beloved dogs with me in Heaven! God bless!
A lovely tribute to Millie and Benji!
Linda
What a lovely thing to do!
