Almond a Bar Recipe

I think these are the best bars I’ve ever made in my whole life! But I can’t take credit for the recipe. It was found on

kristininherkitchen.blogspot.com.

I’m going to make you go to her site so she gets credit for viewers since it’s her recipe. I nearly foundered myself on these warm almond bars. On her site the recipe is called almond sheet cake with butter frosting. Can’t make these too often – I can’t be trusted!

About 3″ of new snow here this morning – its beautiful! I’d better admire it quick because Rick has the tractor out!

“Nearly foundered myself”-ha! Only from a farm gal. I need to get some almonds & make these!

Snowing here, too. Not unusual at my 5800 feet elevation in Idaho. Had almond trees in Tulare and they are healthy for us. LOL. I wrote the recipe blog down n will check it out. Thanks for the foundering recipe, Mary. They look delicious .
A friend asked me when Spring n Summer arrive up here. Last April we had snow falling. Ugh! It’s nice when the deer n elk come on our property with their calves n fawns, tho.

Those look delicious! Fresh snow in Wisconsin today and tomorrow, but most of it Milwaukee and south. Did some dishes and laundry so I can justify sewing the rest of the day…lol!

Thank you for directing us to the recipe … it will definitely get tried at our house. Do you use dairy sour cream or liquid sour cream? Thanks!

Thanks for the link to these yummy bars. Need to go buy some sour cream and I will be making these for a family Daytona race party next sunday. It’s snowing lightly here in western NY but nothing big.
Just pretty to watch from my sewing room for the next hour or so

Thanks for the recipe, I think!! It sounds delicious. I grew up with “foundered”, too. It’s been so cold and snowy here in Central Ohio that I have made and worked on lots of quilts:)

Anyone know if you can use plain Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. Have everything else and don’t want o make a trip to the store. They sound wonderful! Thanks.

Yum! Thank you. I filed her recipe into my Copy Me That site to wait until I can make it.
Does anyone have Copy Me That besides me? It is by far the best way to keep internet recipes.
Maryjane…I am going to substitute Greek yogurt for the sour cream. I have been doing that lots lately and have never been able to tell the difference.

Oh it is too warm too soon here on the left coast of USA near San Francisco
I’d like to try these almond bar treats but I have a health condition that makes these taboo for me
I did try cauliflower “rice” it was great simple stir fry
But if I was at your house and you offered me a piece I’d of course take a small bite just to be polite there is just no way I could have that whole pan of yummy 😋 at my house

I saved the recipe, and will have to make it for my husband’s coffee group! I love almond flavor, so I know it will be good
