Answers to pattern questions

Quest For Freedom pattern in 2 sizes is available for $10.00.

Baby quilt cutting directions only — available for $5.00.

Quest For Freedom was originally published in our book Civil War Remembered.  We do not have this book available for sale.  Please check your local quilt shop, Martingale online or Amazon.  If you already own this book and want the cutting directions for the baby quilt, those directions are $5.00.

Since I cannot take your credit card number, snail mail is the only way you can send me your check.  Postage is included in both prices — $10 for both sizes or $5 for baby size.

Civil War Remembered is currently available – just not from me.  Do NOT order this book from me – order the patterns ONLY and you’ll have to send your check by mail.

Next question — Wildflower

The Wildflower pattern is found in this book by Kim Brackett.

Whenever I don’t know where to find something, I search for it online.

Also — if you’re reading this I have your attention.  Do you make it a habit to read the comments section?  All of these questions and answers have been posted either in a previous post or a comment.  If you have the question, it’s highly likely that someone else has the same question and might already have asked it.  And I really try to keep up with the questions posed in the comments.  When I answer the question, the reply goes back to the reader and it is also posted in the comments section.

If you have asked me a question, please check your email for the answer or read the comments.  I try to stay current.

Hope this clears up lots of questions.

Thank you for all of the information you provide for us. Thanks too for the antics you capture of the many furry and feathered creatures in your life. They make me smile. It actually snowed here this morning and we need the moisture badly. Hope the rest of your day is awesome.

I hope Tucker’s paw is better today.

Just a thanks Mary, for this blog!!! It takes your time and I’m guessing, your patience too! Email would not be nearly as fun if I didn’t have yours to look forward to from time to time.

Pam from NC where the daffodils are blooming but I’m currently “wintering” in Waukee, good ole Iowa!

Pam – don’t know if you’re going to get this blizzard tonite – you’d probably welcome it more than me!

Love your baby quilt and Wildflowers! Carol and I are working on the blocks for Wildflowers and having such fun! Your pictures inspire and delight us. We’re doing well in Cedar Rapids and as Carol said, “we love getting your posts…they are like notes from home”. Have a great day Mary. Hope Tucker’s paw is better today

Stef – it’s so exciting to know you’re working on Wildflowers! Connie is putting her rows together now. Somewhat tedious but worth the effort! Hugs to both of you!

In case people don’t go back…..
My friend has trained her dog to come in and stay on the rug by the door until she wipes his feet. Then she gives him a treat and all is right with the world. I don’t know if this would work with more than one dog….. worth a try?

Yes, I do read the comments. That’s how I found out about the rug book😃😃. Love it. I have many of your patterns and books. Did you send out a bunch of patters all at once one time? I love them😺😺. Our flowers are ready to pop. Worried about our friends’ peaches.

I also read all the comments. I really enjoy your blog and all the photos you post. I would also
love to have all the animals you do. Two house cats are all I have.

Yes, I do read the comments. As you said sometimes the answer to a question I may have might already be in the comments. Your blog is enjoyable and I appreciate the time that you put into this. We are animal lovers as well. Right now I’m watching some of our wild life digging and scratching in the garden area. Had a tom turkey displaying his beauty to a hen this morning.

I find in most blogs, there is a ton of information in the comments! I’ve found new projects, new websites, new products, you name it and it gets discussed. I just wish there was a way for the commenter’s to post photos on blogs so we could all share project photos.

    1. CountryThreads Post author

Teresa – I think that would be fun but then money would have to be involved because I get charged for space on my server for photos.

    Mary,
I love watching your animals and seeing what quilt project you will present to us next. Your pink baby quilt is so wonderful, I put random fabrics together in a quilt and they never look right, yours look great together. I want to make the quilt you made from men’s striped shirts, could you please post the size of the strips in one block. I will send you a picture when it’s done, but may be awhile because I’m slow at sewing. Thanks Mary for letting us view “Life on an Iowa farm”.

Cheryl – the strips in the mens’ shirt quilt are cut 2-1/4″ x 9-1/2″
