This pattern “Oh Nuts!” can be ordered directly from us – we found about 2 dozen patterns tucked away, with color photos and in bags!!! It will eventually be online – after we sell these current patterns.
Send $10 to Country Threads, 2345 Palm Ave.Garner, IA 50438.
Quilt measures 23″ x 40″ and combines piecing with simple applique.
We will start introducing fall patterns, then Halloween, then Thanksgiving and then Christmas beginning with Oh Nuts!
Most will eventually be in the online store except for the many patterns we have which use large applique pieces. What to do about them? They just might need to be always available from us direct. Does everybody understand our limitations online? Can we have a discussion about this so I’m sure you “get it”?
Here are today’s Dirty Dozen quilts:
Please, someone, send me the shower curtain quilt again! I can’t find it anymore!
Here is Connie’s #11:
Here’s my Number 11 – not even started!!!
Here’s Connie’s Number 5 – almost done!!!
I didn’t get the trimming done – had to run Hazel to the vet – she has an eye ulcer and is in her crate, by choice!!! Poor Baby!
I’d like to see the quilt under the second picture, the one that has Halloween appliqued on it if possible. It looks interesting, I just love fall color quilts!
Poor, little Hazel! I hope she isn’t in too much pain with that ulcerative eye. Give her a hug from all of us. Today was a beautiful, cool, fall day. Bailey and I took a drive in the car late this afternoon just for something to do.She loves going and is well-behaved in the front seat. We often stop in at the Dairy Queen for a “pup cup.”
Wonderful Dirty Dozen finishes! The hats are so cute!
Hi Ellie. I saw that you liked my teapot quilt recently in the dirty dozen line up. I have the pattern if you want it!

Poor little Hazel! A little lovin’ and some treats will help. Is the Halloween quilt in the Dirty Dozens one of your designs? If so, I hope it will it be in the store!
So sorry about Hazel’s eye; hope she feels better soon.
I, too, love the “Halloween” quilt and would like to have the pattern. All the finishes were great. I am excited about starting on #11.
We had a long, much-needed rain today a half-hour west of Peoria IL. The lower temps were welcome, too.
I like seeing all the great finishes and Connies number 11 is super cute. I’m so sorry that Hazel is having eye issues, hope the visit to the vet helps.
I put a hold at my library for Finding Gobi. I have been reading a lot of Catherine Hyde books. Just read Electric God and Pay It Forward.
Oh, No about Hazels eye. Hope she gets better very soon.
The finishes are wonderful, as always. This is a busy group of quilters.
We are having very warm late summer days here.
Hi maryup in the Waikato for a couple of weeks break.will get my daughter in law to send photos Louie the king Charles cavalier spaniel,16 weeks old.great quilt finishes! Best wishes from sandy
Sandy – Andrew sent me a picture of Louie – what a cutie pie! If I remember, I’ll post his picture. The pictures of Stella and Luna didn’t come thru – I will tell him – because I’d love to see those sweet little girls again. Have a great time on your little vacation!
Oh my poor Hazel!! Hope she is doing better tonight.
The quilt finishes are so nice to see. It’s kinda fun to see what you uncover next for patterns.
Aw, poor Hazel. Hope she feels better. The DD’s are great. I need to check my # 11. Very humid here, but might cool off soon.
Gosh, always love seeing all the quilts! So much inspiration!
I’m sorry to hear about Hazels eye, hoping you get it resolved soon. Those eye ulcers are a bugger.
Sandy, we love the KCSpaniels and have had two. They are absolutely adorable when puppy’s. Enjoy your visit with family.
I have loved every picture of the August Dirty Dozen challenge! Amazing accomplishments everyone! My #11 is not going to be as easy as this last one but even if I don’t get it finished (having a knee replaced at the end of the month) I will be farther along on it than I am now and that will make me happy. Thanks for providing the push I need to get busy!
Kay Crandall – we’ll all be thinking of you on the 28th! Hope you’ve found someone to help drive you and your hubby. I was able to drive pretty quickly when it was my left knee – which one are you having replaced?
Oh! The DD’s are wonderful.
It has cooled off so much here, last week…90’s, this week 70’s.
We’re all pulling for Hazel. I hope she returns to her happy, curious self soon.
I hope Hazel recovers soon.
I would love it if you re-issued the Halloween pattern called Black Cat. I think that’s the name. It has a black cat, and the words “black cat”.
I will be ordering the Oh Nuts quilt. My mother-in-law always said oh nuts. All the finishes are so cute and such talent. Thank you for the blog and will pray for Hazels eye.
Blessing
Poor Hazel I hope she feels better soon. I love the Oh Nuts quilt. My sister and I send pictures of squirrels to each other. It’s our inside joke. Due to the DD challenge, I finished 3 quilts in August! It spurred me on to get things pinned and quilted. All of the tops were finished. September might not be as successful as my husband and I just put new shelves in my closet so I can be more organized. Now I have to put everything back! It’s stacked all over our upstairs. Debbie B I love your quilt. So many pieces but the colors are beautiful. I love seeing everyone’s quilts.
We are getting rain. Our temps will be in the 90’s instead of the 100’s. Yippee!
Has anyone completed a Bulls Eye Quilt – raw edge applique – lately?
I’d like to see it. Love seeing these projects
Barbara Moore’s hat quilt is so sweet! I remember buying that pattern probably 20-25 years ago, thinking of granddaughters in my future. Nope … all grandsons! Nothing but cars, trucks, superheroes and hockey (after having 2 daughters). I’m certainly not complaining, but that hat quilt is sure cute! I never did make mine, and gave the pattern away years ago. LOL … not the only pattern I’ve bought but never made!
