Wanted you to see how my little Chicklet has grown. Mommy is teaching her to roost, clucking for her to follow up the stool. So cute!
Mommy really wants out of this pen and I’m tempted but have not given in. She might lose little Chicklet.
Hard to get a good picture but Chicklet is getting wing feathers!
Thank you for sharing. It is always a bright spot in my day.
LOVE your menagerie! Keep ’em comin’! Your musings are my “go to” in my mail. So appreciated by all.
I so enjoy your farm life! When I was about 8 years old I decided that farm life is where I wanted to be. Yep, and that was before Green Acres. All because of the farms I would see as my family traveled across the states to visit family. Before all of the congestion that is present every where it seems! Still crave solitude and country life! I see the wings forming on your baby chick. Enjoy!
What a cute little one……..I’m packing up the computer in a few hours…..Hope to be in Idaho in a few days. Can’t wait to settle in there. Moose, elk, deer and other critters as the property is adjacent to a national forest…
I’ve enjoyed all the pictures, etc…..and friendship on your Country Threads Chicken Scratch blog…
Happy Halloween……. I voted absentee……….will be interesting to see a winner.
We had rain ….real rain…… We are using a hauler for the boxes of fabric, goods and furniture we are taking….waiting for the Semi to come attach to it..
Bye for now Mary…….
I really enjoy your postings, Mary especially since I know nothing about farm animals except have seen that goats eat anything and get up on top of anything! Didn’t know mama chickens had to teach the little ones anything! I’m learning a lot! i look forward to each of your poststings.
I really enjoy your e-mails! I always go to them first! Makes my day!
Mary the farm updates on the animals are my fav’s! That mommy hen looks so proud
of her little chicklet!
Hinckley is so cute!!
Your little chuckle has grown a lot. I didn’t know mama hens taught their chicks things either, but I guess it makes sense. Nice to see the Three Amigos:) Cool here today in Central Ohio, but it’s going to be in the high 70’s tomorrow and Wednesday:) Nice. I met a young lady who will be 18 on Friday so will be voting in her first ever election!! Seems like along time ago I voted in my first one!!
Love your posts!
MY oh Myhow Chicklet is growing. Momma Hen has decided if she is ever to be released from captivity she better teach some daily lessons. They are always so much fun to watch. Thanks for such a wonderful variety on you ur farm. The Three Amigos are so funny. Were they born at the same time or just formed this bond along the way?
Carolyn – I can’t answer that but maybe if Betsy is reading, she will comment. Betsy? Tell us about the Three Amigos background.
Love the name Cicklet, one cute baby
That little Chicklet is sweet. Felicia
I love all your farm stories as it reminds me of the times I spent on my cousins farm many years ago.
I ordered your latest book 📚 and it should arrive in 2-3 weeks
Glad to hear that Chicklet no longer is just a ball of fluff, but is taking shape. For your sake, I hope it’s a hen.
At midnight, I received my Sew Charming book on Kindle!! Now I just need to be reunited with my sewing….LOL
Ann – I hope it’s a hen, too, but if it’s a rooster, I’m pretty much in love with Chicklet by now anyway. Ha! You know me!
Thanks for the update on Chicklet and the photos of the Tres Amigos.
Ohhhhhh, I still love baby chicks.
