Last Friday Dawn brought this bread in and we begged for the recipe. We thought we’d share it with you, also.
3/4 c. oil 3/4 c. water Mix these two ingredients well. Add 1 t. vanilla and 1 t. butter extract Mix well. (Do you see a trend?) Add 4 eggs, one at a time and ... mix well. Add 1 yellow cake mix and 1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding. Mix for 8 minutes. Filling: 1/2 c. brown sugar 2 t. cinnamon Pour 1/2 batter into prepared pans, top with 3/4 of cinnamon mixture. Top with remaining batter and sprinkle remaining cinnamon on top. Swirl these together a little or the cinnamon will burn. Bake at 350 degree for 50-60 min. or look at suggestions below. If using dark non-stick pans, keep an eye on them after 40-45 mins. 2 lg. loaves = 42 min. sm. loaves = 25 min. Bundt pan = 35 min.
Sounds really good . . . Is that 1 tsp butter & 1 tsp vanilla extract?
Dawn isn’t here today, but I believe it’s butter extract. We looked it up and McCormick’s makes some.
Never heard of it before, but then I probably spend too much time quilting instead of baking! Ha!
Do I have to bake to be a successful quilter?
Of course not! We just like to eat here in the shop!
This sounds very good. There is a recipe online for Starbuck’s Chocolate Cinnamon Bread – fantastic! So moist and can be sliced as a dessert with ice cream and choc. sauce. Check it out.
Sounds yummy! Does this recipe make 2 large loaves?
Yes it makes 2 large loaves.
Sounds yummy! Thank you for sharing .
Do I have to quilt to be a successful baker???? 🙂

No, Michele – I think you can be a great baker without a rotary cutter!
HAPPY VALENTINE”S DAY!!!!
This was delicious! This recipe is a keeper at our house, for sure. I made 2 large loaves but am wondering about the other options–is the 50-60 minutes for a 9×9 inch pan? I’m sure I’ll be making this often in the future. Thanks for sharing.
Good food goes along with good quilting!
