I’ve been saving this photo post for awhile now and today is the day! First a little background information. The mom in this photo is my cousin Laura (we share the same birthday) who lives in Illinois. She is married to Glen and they have 6 natural children, 3 boys and 3 girls and 2 adopted children, 1 boy and 1 girl. The oldest boy, Mark, got married this summer and in this family photo you can clearly see the youngest boy’s disgust at having his picture taken.
From left to right: Anne, Lynn, Jill, Bride Kaitlyn, Groom Mark, Mom Laura, Dad Glen, Adam, Daniel. The 2 little kids are Kimara and Brian.
Isn’t this just the greatest wedding picture of all times? How would you caption this? One of my first thoughts is Brian saying “I do not want my picture taken in these stupid clothes! I want to go outside and play!” And Laura trying to convince him to stand still and smile. Notice she is the only one distracted by his behavior – typical Mom – with Glen throwing a glance of support.
Isn’t this a great family wedding picture? I smile every time I see it.
And on little Brian’s wedding day you will have to bring out this picture for a bunch of laughs!
Priceless!!!! I love it and I can relate. I have 6 children and my youngest was about Kimara’s age when
my 3 older children got married. I can relate!
I love Country Threads! I look forward to it every day.
Thank-you for taking the time to share with us.

I agree–priceless. That will be a keepsake wedding photo forever. Love ALL the dresses and the guys look so nice:) What a nice looking family. Thanks for sharing with us; I look forward to them. Off to a farmer’s market to sell raffle tickets for our quilt. Hot here in Central Ohio, but not much humidity.
It is what it is and he ISN’T. That is just the way it goes. He’ll have to live with this picture the rest of his life and may even enjoy seeing it.
Where do I send my pics to you of my Gypsy Wife Blocks?
This is sooooo cute! What a charming photo. Thanks for sharing.
“I’d rather be fishin’ “
Send your pictures of Gypsy Wife to marye@ncn.net.
ThankYou!
“I thought you said this would be fun!!!” Something I heard on every dress up occasion, and I only had 2 boys!
What a great picture and meanwhile the little girl has the biggest smile on her face ever.
Yes we mothers can not “ignore” as others do but that would be a good picture for when the little guy is an older adult 🙂 Love it.

It certainly captures the moment. What a priceless photo.
Don’t you just love photos like this one that capture the way life really is? A “real” moment and one to be treasured. I also look forward to your emails – a lot. So a big thank you from me, too, for taking the time to share.
Too funny! Lovely family. Caption….”Enough already! Can we just go home?” I bet he had fun at the reception! LOL
“You can take my picture, but you can’t make me happy about it!”
“You said there’d be cake and ice cream after the wedding. You didn’t say anything about getting my picture taken.”
“Is this what they call a line-up?”
So fun! I’m so glad you continue to blog. I really enjoy your animal and garden pictures, and you’re getting me more interested than I should be in the Gypsy Wife quilt.
Terrific family photo……there’s always one who isn’t happy about being “dressed up”! It’s very evident the little flower girl is enjoying every moment of the happy day. Thanks for sharing…..
Absolutely precious – very very special – save it for the little one when he is much much older – he will certainly smile
