I know you like to see what we’ve been working on so after the trunk show last Saturday, I took a picture of a group of small quilts made by Connie.
These bigger quilts are at the lake house.
Queen size Wildflower on the bed.
Farmers Daughter made with Jen Kingwell fabric, Gardenvale.
Mochi made with fabric gifted by our friend Rose.
And a collection of beautiful fabrics – to quote Mary Ellen Hopkins – “Never underestimate the power of the square!”
And here is a closeup of my moth pendant that I wore last Saturday. I bought it at a junk store years ago and it is vintage Kenneth Lane according to research done online last night. I wonder how much it’s worth? Anybody have an idea or know anything about it?
Thanks for sharing all the quilts, Mary. Always fun to see what you and Connie are working on and/or displaying in your homes.
Love your moth necklace. That was a very good find no matter the value!
So glad to keep up with what you are doing….I loved Country Threads, and the Goat Gazette, so it’s good to see you continue on , wi t h quilts AND your pets. Loved the little black lab puppy quilt!
As much as I love pieced quilts, my favorites are the quilted squares at the end and the
little four patch in rows among the smaller quilts. Simple is sometimes just the best!!
For years, I did very intricate piecing and paper-piecing. Now I tend to do spontaneous and simple. Suits my current lifestyle.
Thanks for this wonderful post!
There’s one on etsy for $35. It’s really pretty. Don’t sell it!
Shelley – I can’t find it on Etsy / can you send me a link?
What a neat quilt show ! The scrappy string quilt hanging over the banister gets my mo-jo going. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing the quilt pics, always love to see what others have made! My favorite is the Wildflower, the colors are so cheerful.
Don’t know the sale or trade value but your moth pendant is WOW gorgeous!
Just love it! The quilts are beautiful too!
Pat
Googled it, Kenneth Lane Moth Pendent and then just Kenneth Lane. Clicked on a photo that looks like your moth, $35.00. It seems like it would be much more valuable, it’s so beautiful and rich looking. Maybe someone is selling it st too low s price.
Carol – can you send me the link? I have tried and tried to locate this exact pendant and nothing I find matches. One of the readers wanted to purchase one for her daughter – I had no idea where to send her. Thanks for any help!
Love all of Connie’s quilts, the scrappy nine patch in the top photo is just calling for another quilt along.
The Quilts are beautiful!
Love the necklace 🙂
Thanks for sharing the lovely quilts today! This is just what I needed this morning as we have had to put our dog down so this brightened my day. Thank you!
Ellie – I am so so sorry – what a terrible day for you! I just know your dog lived a wonderful life with you and I know how sad you are today. Please know I’m thinking of you and I do understand your sorrow.
Oh my goodness! I love every one of these quilts – the small ones are adorable but the large ones! Wow! Love all of the colors, so cheerful. And I love vintage jewelry. I was at a wedding this past week end and the bride carried a very unique bouquet – it was a satin base covered with vintage jewelry! Just stunning. Most of the jewels were crystals and pearls – there were earrings, brooches, pins. Most were clear or white and sprinkled in were dark blue pieces. She wore dark blue shoes to match! Anyway, your post has made me want to quilt again…
Thanks for the quilty inspiration.
Beautiful!

Based on his signature on the piece, you should be able to figure out an approximate date created. See the above website.
Ann – I have searched for this exact moth pendant and can’t find it – can you suggest how I could find it?
Love Connie’s quilt show! The Wildflower and checkerboard are my favs!!!
Thank you for sharing pictures of the quilts. I love the Wildflower design. I have started mine in Kaffee fabrics but life and other small quilts had to be finished.Great pendent.

It is such a nice variety of quilts. The flying geese runner is even so cool to see in what looked like pastels to me.
Those quilts are so beautiful. What a lovely quilt show. I have been sitting here staring at them this morning with my coffee cup in hand. Yum.
Hope you find the date and worth of your gorgeous brooch.
Gorgeous quilts. Can sure agree with MEHopkins…what a gal she was.
My oldest son has gifted me some beautiful vintage pins he buys at pawn shops n other shops. Your necklace is beautiful, Mary. Thanks for sharing the quilt pics.
Beautiful quilts Mary. I have such a hard time with flying geese, so I admire the one with the flying geese. I do love the one with the bold squares. I love color and your pendant is beautiful.
