Creating the “cave”

This photo was taken November1 and as you can see it looked pretty junky everywhere we looked. It isn’t hard for us to remember the shop fully stocked and looking beautiful but after 6 weeks of closing sales, it took its toll. As Connie and I began to pack things up we sorted into hers, mine, ours, sell, pitch, donate, or simply save. We moved furniture that belonged to Country Threads into the Civil War building and all fabric was moved to the south quilt shop building to wait upon the new shop owner who is wanting to purchase it. I had decided to move into the north building of the quilt shop and keep the cutting table. I had intended to take out the check-out counter but decided it really might be handy so it stayed for now. Anything I did not want in my “lady cave” was moved either next door or to the south part of the building to make room for all my “stuff”.
More tomorrow.

Good for you Mary. I retired 5 years ago and love it. I’ll miss the shop but am very happy for you and Connie. Is there still a yard sale planned for next Spring? Merry Christmas!

How wonderful to have the shelves already in place! Are you going to invite people for “sew-in’s” at some point?

It looks nice! Looks like you have a plan. Looking forward to seeing how it evolves.

    Take care.

    Mary,
You have your plan and it won’t be long and your “LADY CAVE” will be set in order. Little Emma on the outside looking in and keeping watchful eyes on you! I’m anticipating the future pictures. I miss the UFO number of the month.

For once the morning weather report was spot on……the light rain started here in Tulare about evening news time. The White House Christmas decorating transformation was marvelous; so we missed a few plays of the Bears/Saints game!

This looks like a great room for creating!!! I would keep the check out counter also…it will come in handy for many things. I’m jealous, would love a room like this to spread out in…for quilting and cardmaking! Have fun and a very Merry Christmas!
