Stunning appliqué.

Love feathered stars.

Background blocks from men’s shirts.

Antique quilt – why can’t we buy this shade of blue today?

Think of the planning that went into this one!

Love these.

Layered Japanese – wish I knew more about this one.

Unusual choice of background fabric – love it but never would have considered this choice.

Look at this medallion!

Look at these tiny blocks!

And these tiny blocks!

Fine and Dandy quilt by Country Threads – fun to see this one in the show.

Jen Kingwell design.

Small World by Jen Kingwell (designer of Gypsy Wife).

I wanted to remember this fabric used as a background – I want to try it.

Love all these different background fabrics used together!

Connie made this house quilt last winter in Florida.

On to Post #3.

What great quilts! Thanks for sharing. Reed is going to enjoy the AZ 🌵 cacti quilt picture. I like the dog patterns. Just cleaned and oiled my Bernina so it’s ready for tomorrow. …

Mary in this blog you ask “why can’t we buy this shade of blue”. To me it looks green and if it is Darlene Zimmerman / Feed Sack Lady sells a fabric so very like this color. I bought some from her and it’s very nice quality. Not sure if this is helpful but I’m throwing this info out anyway.
The Japanese quilt is very interesting and you merely like the design and/or the fabric. I recently saw this line of fabric and think it’s called Shibori by Moda.

The Cactus quilt is awesome, but so are many of the others. Fun to see quilts from other parts of the country
so many different uses of fabric. Went to a small local show that featured Sun Bonnet Sue, old and newer ones plus many others from our local Guilds.
Received my Sugar Maple pattern this week, Thanks now I will have to look for autumn colors to make it.

Reed, I love cactus as well!! In fact, the cactus pictured on the far left is what I nutured and it rewarded me with many, many babies!
In 30 years time, it was almost 6 feet tall.

Ann Barlament – I like lots of different types, too, and they were all there at the show!
