Dirty Dozen Finishes, 4-4-2020

Thanks to everyone who sent their Dirty Dozen pictures! Here they are:

The following photos are from Linda Greethurst , Urbandale, IA

Linda – would you please answer in the comments if someone asks about your projects? I am not familiar with any of them so can’t help. Readers – please address your questions to Linda G.

No matter where I lay a quilt down, somebody, in this case Millie, will find it and lay down on it!
Tammy finds me no matter what chair I sit down in – this is the cat I cannot pick up and get to the vet – yet she will lay on my lap for hours at a time if I let her.

After a few nice days it’s hard to believe we have snow on the ground and the temp is 22 this morning with a wind chill of 11.

I still have not figured out how to resize these photos – I’m sure they’re posting too big and you’re likely having problems loading and storing them especially if your internet is slow. I’m going to work on it today so if you get a goofy post, it’s just me practicing – a great opportunity to close some more ads.

Have a great Saturday – Palm Sunday tomorrow. If you’d like to tune in to our church service, go to Facebook, Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, Garner, IA.

Be Still…….

Diane Bauer – I cannot believe you got those pictures! They’re showing up NOW on my site but before they were just little empty squares – now what do I do? Ugh

  2. Teresa

No photos of finishes and no Ads. Your cats are cute! Hoping temperatures get above freezing today and melt this pesky snow.

  3. Sue in Oregon

No pics of finishes here either. I will just leave it on this page and maybe they will come in later. Hope so.
I clicked on one ad of cleaning gloves and was amazed to also find masks for sale???
    Cats look happy and relaxed.

Sorry to say no DD pics.
The kitty by the coffee cup quilt looks like she’s in time out, & not happy about it!! Ha!

No finished pictures here either. Thanks for the link to your church service, I’d like to do that.
    All stay safe.`

Mary, while you are checking on how the stuff works, will you please look into this? I don’t know if other people are having the same problem.
When I open your blog, you did have this in just ahead of the comments “Read More – Read more of this post.” If I checked on that everything came up just fine. If I checked on the red “X” in the box, everything was all screwed up and I couldn’t get into anything. Now on this blog if I check on the “Comments” box it comes up.
In the meantime, the sun is shining. The birds are at the feeders. The finches are back and the snow is really melting. Spring is here, ready or not.

I would love to see the inside of your church with you playing the piano. What time is the service and what time zone are you in. I’m in central (Texas)

  8. Jo in Wyoming

I’m on an iPad, no dd pictures.
I love the tape on the chair legs…very original.
We have sun today! Yeah for sun.

I can’t see the pics either. They don’t show up in my email or when click to go to the post.

There were ads to close today but no pictures. I can’t imagine it being so cold this time of year. I’m in Virginia and so ready for spring.

  11. Linda in So CA

No Dirty Dozen or Linda G’s pictures! Your cats look very comfortable. Watching eagles hatch in Decorah & was very surprised to see snow. Brrrrr…

  12. Marcia in ID

I can see the pictures on my iPhone, but not on my laptop. Strange. The pictures are wonderful.

…and know that I am God!” Thank you for the daily reminder, I cannot hear it without completing the thought.
Palm Sunday, sigh… it’s such a change this year to already be reaching Holy Week, the Lenten journey has been rough and seemingly never-ending! With each day that passes, though, I’m reminded that we’re one day closer to this health crisis being OVER!
    Thanks for spreading cheer, Mary!

I agree with Peggy S. that Millie cat looks like she’s in time out! No pictures of the finishes here either but the two cat pictures are great. I’m sewing more masks today.

  15. Brenda archambault

No pictures of the DD here either (SW phoenix) but it’s 76, the sun’s out, and I will be out very soon. Trying to get my meds in order for next week and have my hubby pick up some, And get more next week! It’s endless. Have a short shopping list to get us thru another week, as I’m trying to get creative with my freezer and pantry offerings.
Sorry about your lousy weather. Have been watching the decorah eagles.looks like the north nest eaglets are growing …now, waiting for the 3 in the southern nest to hatch.
    Happy Palm Sunday, be still.

just cat photos works for me! I made masks today, didn’t want to , but now when my husband makes his once a week trip to the grocery store he can wear one. Easy peasy. 9 x 6 rectangle with 3 pleats. They go fast. Roasted a chicken for us today. Cold here in Colorado and snow melting. Mary I look forward each day for your blog. Bless you!

  17. Diane and Squeak in Central Ohio

Ads to click and adorable kitties, but no DD pictures. Busy making masks for friends who are Cancer survivors and sooo worried about going to stores. It is so hard for them. Ugh.

  18. Diane and Squeak

PS I do go for some people, but some are independent and want to do for themselves.

  19. Kathy in western NY

Busy sewing masks here too for my church as well as a senior assisted living facility but they are using up fabric with the ties so I am delighted to see it being used for charity. No pictures other than the precious kitty cats. Always something but I was thrilled to find your new patterns came in my mail today.
I think it will give me a diversion tomorrow to make May flowers since I have some cheerful fabric all pulled out anyways.

  20. Margaret

It is cooler here today and raining some in North TX. Did not get any DD pictures but did get pictures of cats. I always click plenty of ads. Thanks so much Mary for your blog!!
