Please make note of these numbers! We will start again on July 1, 2020. Please send the pictures of your finished quilts and projects – everybody loves seeing them. Write your name and location as large as possible in dark letters.
Does this mean we are finished after this month? If so, I’m really going to miss this!
Kay –
May & June will be the end of a “dozen!!” So you can still sew on girl!!
Here’s one who never got started. . Darn
Peggy S
Kay Crandall – oh, no! We still have May and June but by elimination of numbers you can figure out the last two. Then we’ll start with a new bunch of 12 – it will be never ending!!
What do I have to do to join the block of the month? I want to be a part of it.l
How to I send pictures for you to post? I’m not on Facebook – but I don’t know how to send pictures there either. I think I’m just to send them to your emil, correct?
Linda – yes, send them to my email with your name and location on a tag so readers can read it and I will post to the blog as I receive them.
Got them, Mary. Now I need to check to see which ones I actually did!! Did anyone else do that? Sometimes I HAD to make a quilt for a baby or I finished one I found while looking for something else. LOL I WILL finish all 12, Mary. I love that you have spurred us on to do this.
Buckeye, the kitty, was back again tonight. Actually, he has been coming back for a while, but we quit
feeding him thinking he’d stay home. I am going to write a letter to the owner this time instead of
talking to her dad. Sometimes people make me sick the way they treat their pets. UGH.
Diane and Squeak – I hope you feed poor Buckeye a little – sounds like he doesn’t have a very attentive owner.
I’m really going to try and do the Dirty Dozen this next year–heavens knows I have enough UFOs for several years! I love seeing what everyone has accomplished each month! It’s very inspirational and motivating!
Question for clarification and just plain silly on my part–is the number behind the month the date the project is due or the number of the project we complete after we have labeled our UFOs? It’s probably very clear to everyone that has done this before.
Nevermind—I figures it out!!
Thanks!
Julie D – before July 1 pick 12 UFO’s and number them 1-12. On the first of every month, I’ll pull a number and you will have to complete that UFO within the next 30 days. Of course, I’m not the quilt police so it’s just a nudge to finish and then send me a picture to post! We all love to see the projects!
From Rapid City, with my fingers crossed, as the testing is done, more cases or the corona are showing up, BUT they are also saying how many have recovered. I thought we were to stay home, but not some people. Seems pretty basic to just stay home. We got at least 8″ of snow plus some good size drifts this morning. The neighbors are out with smiles as it does feel good even if the temp is cold and the wind is nasty. We must be a hardy bunch. It is winter.
The Itty Bittys came in todays mail. When did you mail them? Inspiration. I’ve been working on the face masks. Getting the pattern down and finding quicker methods for construction. I like to make extra patterns out of the heavy pellon. Tried the rotary cutter, but I don’t feel I’m accurate. I need to get a plastic template made. Lord knows, I won’t run out of fabric. The hospital put out the pattern that uses cloth ties and is big enough to cover the N95 mask if needed.
Everybody, take care and please keep writing. You all make us feel like we aren’t so isolated with this thing. Love hearing all your stories and comments.
Betty
Betty – and every time I hear about your weather in Rapid City, I have an idea what’s heading our way!!
I must not have clicked on my name good enough as it came up anonymous……… I’ll do better this time?
