Farm News

Home again, thank goodness!  Connie and I are both starting to prepare for our house/sewing room tours which will take place during our Big Event in July.  Connie is painting shelves and I’m pulling weeds, scrubbing floors, cleaning closets, washing windows – you get the idea.  I will never be ready for this tour – what was I thinking?

The weeds are higher than my knees but at least they’re easy to pull since we’ve had so much rain.  Several of my small house plants died from lack of water while I was gone – boo hoo!  And several of my succulents outside in pots have had too much water.

And here is Baby Lucy who now weighs more than 7 lbs.!  I went in there yesterday to help entertain Aidan and get lunch for them.  I left when they all went down for a nap.  Here is Aidan with an egg in each hand.

We are closing in on the finish – nobody will be more thankful than me.  This is the sidewalk that goes to the screened in porch.  And this is the small patio in front of my sewing room.  By next week the concrete will be laid and I’ll be “decorating” — I hope.  I have run out of patience – and I didn’t have much to begin with.

I bought this “one of a kind” homemade table at the local thrift store for $10.00 – I love it!

Here we go – the last concrete I’m ever going to pour – ever!!

Next week – greetings from the goats!

I’m feeling overwhelmed too…I’m going to hand a pair of garden gloves to all my guests on Tuesday and have. A weed pulling contest. Ha ha. What doesn’t get done, doesn’t get done, and no one but you will probably notice…enjoy the moment

Mary, Just think of how wonderful it will all be in a month or so. Then all of the sudden, you’ll realize it’s been done for a year and all the hard work and craziness will be a thing of the past and you’ll be enjoying your “new” house. Wish we lived closer so we could come for the house tour.
So great to see you, Connie and Mary B at the Rosemont show.
