It is 11:00 pm and I’ve almost missed Thursday! The day just got away from me but I decided to write a quick note that Mandy will send out on Friday.
Emma says, “Good Morning” from her recliner.
We are madly cutting kits, writing patterns, packaging kits and packing tubs for International Quilt Festival in Houston. The Penske will get packed tomorrow and Mary Baker and Connie will leave on Monday. It is a long drive to Houston, TX and it takes many hours to set up 4 booths. We’re hoping lots of you plan to attend and stop by to shop.
Saturday morning is $5 Quilt day in the shop and then it will be a big day working outside if weather permits. Annabelle is here this week again and she loves walks in the grove. Wish I could get them all in one photo but just can’t.
We finally had a hard freeze and the leaves fell today like green snow! The ground is covered in a thick layer of green leaves, not crunchy yet, just soft, green leaves. Beautiful! The tomatoes came to an end last night, too.
Tonight Connie and I attended a premiere showing of a new movie called “Garner, Iowa”. The starring role is played by a Garner relative and is filmed in this community. In one scene, the care center was featured and when they showed the residents playing cards, I knew them! Very cool!
I will sign off and promise to do better next week!

Hi Mary.
Love your newsletters. Feel like I am right there and not here in Australia when I read your news. Thank you for recommending the book in your latest newsletter. I downloaded it immediately and have now read the book . Loved the suspense. Will look for more books by this author. Thank you for your pattern this year . Have been trying to keep up each month.

Question: Is Country Threads in the movie? No pun intended, but there’s a lot of material that could be written around the shop with a wonderful cast of characters–four legged and two legged.
Love you posts!! I want to be one of your pets!!
That’s funny! Do you have pets?
