The little town of Oronoco, MN throws a party every August in conjunction with Rochester’s Gold Rush Days at the fairground. The whole town participates in hosting over 1000 antique vendors by selling parking spots in their yards, selling cold drinks and food at the fire station and hauling large purchases to the buyers’ cars. Everybody is involved and the buyers come in droves. It is such a fun day and yesterday was 75 degrees making it a perfect shopping day.
I did not over buy but here are 2 of my purchases — an original charcoal drawing of a dog and a wooden clothesline spool. My back and hips really hurt after all that walking up and down inclines but I’m sure glad I went—very fun!
glad you had fun up there, i wanted to go but there was a quilt show in blue earth, so went over that way. we could go tomorrow but paul is going over to jackson for a couple of days (fishing & camping) what are you going to do with the clothes line spool??? just wondered. yes, we’ve had some really nice days, sure hope the heat and humidity doesn’t hang around too long, maybe they’re wrong for this week, one can only hope.
