GREAT NEWS!

Heidi just walked into the house!

She appears to be fine, not extremely skinny.  Seems glad to see me, not rushing to the food bowl however.  Cleaning herself and doesn’t seem to be anxious or afraid.  She is not doing that loud meowing.  I am in happy shock.  Finally some good news!  I don’t know what to think or say but I am so happy to share this good news with you.

Someone answers prayers. I don’t need to know how. I’m so happy for you and for Heidi.

    1. Jeri Niksich

Exactly Diana W. My favorite thing to be able to say..Prayers asked and Answered!😁

  2. Launa

Oh Mary……SO good to hear and see Heidi. If only she could tell you about her absence.

  3. Pamela

This is the news I’ve been praying for as I’m mom to a kitty too. So happy Heidi has returned. Sounds like a good neighbor has been feeding her or she caught and ate her prey.

  4. Christina

I am doing an amazing happy dance for you right now! Thank you for sharing this wonderful news!

  5. Sue M

  7. Linda Scott

I bet someone had her in there house. Feeding her. And as soon. as she got out the door she came home.

  8. Lynn

Oh, Mary, I am so happy she has returned, and she looks great. I wonder if Google could tell us what loud cat meowing. means.

    1. Noël

My cat used to do the loud meowing and I finally took her to the vet and found out she was in heat! I wonder if you’ll be seeing some baby Heidis in the near future? 😻

  9. Linda Hanley

Hi Mary – Maybe Heidi was at someone else’s house. We had a cat that did that. She was gone for about three weeks and one night I opened the door and there she was. We thought she might have been in someone’s garage or someone was feeding her. You got Heidi back and that’s what is important… You and she will sleep well tonight. I’m glad for both of you. Linda

  10. Gail Bronner

Sometimes I think it would be great to have one of those tiny cameras on my cat to see where he goes. I think that is the only way to find out what they get up to. Glad she is home safely.

  11. Marilyn

Wonderful good news! And, I bet she never tells you what she has been upto. So glad for you Mary.

  15. Kay Crandall

So very happy your little one is home safely, Mary. It had to be horrible not knowing where or how she was.

  16. Denyse

This is such great news! I am so happy for you. Tonight you can sleep peacefully.

  17. bernadette

Mary, is this the white calico you recently inherited? Glad she made her way home. I wonder if she was in heat? But I am thinking it is usually the male that comes calling in such cases.

  18. Brenda

Think she eloped and the honeymoon’s over? Glad she realized she left such a safe home and came back.

  19. PJ

  22. Dianne Cook

Mary, I’m so pleased for you. Our animals are all part of our family. We hate to see them unhappy.

  23. Kathy

What an answer to prayers and so happy for you. This kitty looks a lot like my sister’s cat, Pumpkin. I suspect you’ll keep Heidi inside for the next week in lieu of her adventure without your consent.

Oh that is great.!!…….. My mother always used to tell me that many times cats just seem to heal themselves…. I am SO glad she is still there with you !!

  29. Angie Rowland

WHAT wonderful news//////// Maybe she just needed a mini vacation and went to a healing place. This made my day. I know you are very happy but we all felt for you as well and so very glad she is home where she belongs.

  30. Janet Snyder

I am so happy for you. We had a cat that needed medication for seizures go missing one time. I was beside myself. One night I said to my husband let’s go out looking one more time. We found her just as a strange cat was getting ready to attack her. She was quite weak. I was elated! Afterward my husband told me he started to say it was no use, she was gone. We were both glad he didn’t.

  31. Mary Says Sew!

    Oh, such good news!

Any chance she visited Colton’s birth home, and stayed? Her odd behavior before she went missing sounded like she was not well before she disappeared. Or maybe she got trapped someplace and just found a way out.

I wish they could tell us. I’m so glad she’s back. If it were me, I’d lock the little sweetie in the house for a while!

Are there GPS trackers for cats yet?

  32. Carol

OMG Heidi is back from her rumpus! I feel your joy! I was almost delirious when our Kitty returned home! I’m so happy for you, Mary!

  48. Jeri Niksich

    Jeri

  49. Cathy

Wonderful news! I had just been thinking about her. So glad she is home. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if she could sit down & tell you what adventures she has had? My grandmother had a cat one time that would take off, sometimes for months (!) & we were sure she was gone for good then one day she would just come ambling back like nothing had ever happened. It was strange though, while she was gone my grandmother died suddenly. Berry (the cat) came back for one day, we fed her & the next day she was gone, never returned.

  50. Marsha

What a thrill! Only someone who has been through it knows that feeling! I’ve looked every day to see what you found out about Heidi! So happy for you!

  51. Marian

Another thought from Heidi: “I just went to visit Aunt Clara for a few days; forgot to tell you.”

  52. Linda Hart

So glad to see she is back. When our neighbors cat went missing for a few days, she was found accidentally locked in a shed, hungry, but otherwise fine.

  53. MartyCae

Hello Pretty Kitty! Where did you go? So glad you are home – but don’t do that to Mary again! 🙂

  54. Rebecca H

Your kitty says “what’s all the commotion about, I took a trip, had a little vacation, and now I’m back!” So glad for happy news….

  55. Susan K

So happy for you! You needed good news. Too bad she can’t tell you about her adventures.

  56. Marilyn

Glad she is home…….does not seem to have been in a fight. I have learned that cats do not want you to feel like they depend on you for anything, even though they really do! So I try to return the favor and I get lots of rubbing in return.

  57. terry

Super good news. Tell her she had lots of folks praying for her and you. Glad she’s back.

    Terry

  58. Lynne

Glad to hear she’s back safe. I recently found out my 15 yr old cat, who has been missing since January, has been living with a family about 1/4 mile down the road. Go figure.

  59. Tammy Guerrero

Glad to hear she’s back. Give her a big hug. You don’t realize how special they are until they are gone for a little while.

  60. Ginny Jackson

That is great news!! I hate not knowing what happens when anything disappears! If only we could communicate with them!!

  61. Kendra Maclean

Oh Mary, what great news! And a great way to start the day. So glad Heidi is home safe.

  62. sandra

Thank you for sharing the good news I am so glad kitty is home.Tell that animal that good cats get home before dark.My cat seems to love night smells and sounds.I tell him he can enjoy all that on my screen porch.

  63. Linda Baker

If only our pets could talk! I’m breathing a big sigh of relief along with you, Mary. Heidi coming home is great news.

  68. Margie braaksma

15 years ago we moved from the old home place to a new farm place 5 miles away. I took my 3 outdoor cats along of course. About 4 months after we moved my black and white named Swirl disappeared. He was 3 years old. I kept thinking he walked back to his old barn but we could never find him along the way or there. We still own the place and have machine sheds there so we would go frequently. One day about 3 months later I rode over there and couldn’t believe my eyes saw him. He was skin and bones and full of ear mites and ticks. The vet said he wouldn’t have lasted much longer. After much needed attention he made a full recovery and I just lost him this past year at the age of 18. Very happy I got to have him all those years after a very sad 3 months.

Margie – that’s a real miracle story! Wonder why he didn’t come back to his new home when he got hungry.

  69. Nancy Alexandee

Wow, that is wonderful! I am so happy for you…..life is good……
