Gypsy Wife, Week 15, September 21

I’ve had a busy week.  That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!  My blocks are not done.  I did just finish cutting them out this afternoon but have not sewn them.  Here are my cut out blocks.

I will sew them tonite.  I forgot last night that I had these blocks to make and since I thought I had a free evening, I decided to bind this quilt that Ina quilted for me in August 2014.  Ha!  And you thought it was just YOU who had unfinished projects!  I think I was looking for a mindless binding to work on while I watched TV.

This is an easy quilt using strips cut the width of the fabric.  Mine are cut 2-1/2″ and 8-1/2″ across the width of the fabric.  Strips are sewn together lengthwise, quilted and edges trimmed to measure approximately 42″ x 60″.

Yes, I could have had the Gypsy Wife blocks all completed but I think I was brain dead after Pumpkin Day.

My granddaughter would say, I LOVE iT AND it is pink. It is pretty and gives me ideas. You are excused.

I love this quilt. It would make a cute baby quilt , maybe use some decorative stitches for quilting ?
You never get to use all those fancy stitches that come with your machine.

Isn’t it nice when we can choose the project we want to work on depending on our mood, etc.? It helps us do a better job than if we weren’t in the mood.
The pink fabrics are great and who ever said easy isn’t good?
We are working on Christmas stockings for the troops. Last year I think 270 filled stockings were sent. Nice big boxes full of stockings filled to the tops to be opened with all sorts of surprises inside.

I’m with you. I just put binding on two tablerunners I started two years ago. Mindless sewing while watching football this weekend! Whoohoo!
