Happy Birthday, Susannah!!!!

Today is Susannah’s 13th birthday. She was born unexpectedly outside when the temperature was 17 degrees and her mother, Jill, rejected her. I gladly moved her to the house, bottle feeding her and training her as a house goat for 18 months. She didn’t weigh as much as a can of Diet Coke when she was born. She loves crackers, pretzels, goldfish and doritos and except for that terrible bout of mastitis last fall, she is in good health, just slower at walking like all of us old folks. Next spring she’ll be able to help me in the yard with all the spring clean up work.
Happy Birthday, Susannah!

I remember when Susannah came up and visited us in the sewing room above ….she kept coming up and down the steps to visit us…just one of the girls…

Susannah had an ornery streak in mid-life making it necessary to keep her behind the fences until customers left but I, too, remember her joining more than one class.

Belated Happy Birthday to my most favorite goat–I’m sorry my wishes weren’t on time–I’m still not receiving new posts even though I re-subscribed. Hope Susannah had a wonderful day and she was properly spoiled.
