Hazel’s Birthday Party

Reed, Becky and Connie came to the party. Moe, the golden doodle that Hazel loves , also attended – and Telly, of course. I didn’t have time to bake so I bought a carrot cake from the bakery. We even lit the candle.

Hazel wore a Happy Birthday tiara but not willingly.

I wish I could have taken this next series as a video – use your imagination. Pretty funny!

Hazel got toys and treats but the other two dogs thought she would want to share so they ran in and out of the house via the dog door with her new toys.

All in all it was a pretty spectacular first birthday party. I suppose we’ll be celebrating in bitter cold weather every January 11.

Happy Birthday Hazel – and yes, it will either be really cold or there will be a blizzard/snow storm. Sometimes the storm comes in the form of a bunch of freezing rain. That was fun. My birthday is the 12th….and in all of my years the weather has been bad much more that it has been good enough to do anything. I used to plan to do something that invariably would have to be cancelled. I quit planning anything to avoid disappointment. At my house we refer to January 12 as the January blizzard, lol.

Sherry – that’s hilarious but I’m sure very true! And Happy Birthday, by the way!

So tickled to see the birthday photos! My birthday is January 10th so Hazel and I are almost twins! Her hair is whiter than mine, but I am catching up fast. πŸ™‚

What a fun birthday party. Wish I could have been there to help celebrate.
My youngest son turned 53 on the 11th and he was born during a snow storm.

Ok permission granted to celebrate 1/2 birthdays or move to the Southern Hemisphere just to have nice birthday weather

Colleen – what a good idea! A half birthday! I recently got a half birthday card which was fun.

She’s so cute. What a fun day, we had a birthday party for our dog Lucy. She was a wirehair pointer and turned 15 years. Lots of fun and she loved her cake.

Thank you for sharing the party. Love that Hazel. Wish I could have been there. Yesterday it was 77 here in Temecula, CA. I would love to experience one of your storms, but I’m such a wimp I’d have to stay inside with Hazel and the chickens. Happy belated Birthday Hazel.

Love the party! Hazel looks very happy! We have had celebrations every year for my ole girl, Lucy, who will be 14 on the 23rd. My friends even had a puppy shower for her when I got to bring her home from the nursery those many years ago! It was a hoot! 14 is not too bad for a lab. Here’s to many more happy birthdays for Hazel!

Ok, the tiara is a hoot!! I am sure it was not a hit for Hazel. She looks like she’s trying to kiss everyone to tell them how much she appreciated the party:) Toooo cute. Happy First Birthday Hazel. Our son in law’s birthday is Dec. 2 so he was thrilled to marry into a family that has half birthdays:) We do enjoy them. I think my mom invented them because my brother’s birthday is November 30 and we had a parade on Memorial Day so we just celebrated his half birthday then, too. We had cupcakes, our choice of dinner, and a present. Fun times.

Some how I missed Hazels Birthday Party post. Don’t want you to think I don’t love Hazel, because I do.
She looks happy and ready to party. Happy Birthday, Hazel. You are a dearly loved little dog. Love her tiara.

Carrot cake is my favorite!!! Where is the bakery near you? I f you can share the bakery name that would be wonderful. Hazel is so loved and very lucky to have you give her a forever home!!

My! Such fun, I wish I had been there. I won’t let Zena see this podt so she won’t get any ideas. Have a nice week.

Mary, I’m late to the party, but what a fun time you all had! Love Hazel in her tiara. Took me back to the birthday parties we had for our wire hair Mr. Smith. He was far too stuffy to wear a party hat, but loved the treats and toys. Thanks for a great start to my morning!
