Mary and Connie, Just a quick note of congratulations as Martingale featured two of your small quilts in their blog this morning. They were Better to be Overdressed than Underdressed from “Back to Charm School” and Double Four Patch from “Sew Charming”. The Double Four Patch is on my list to cut this weekend coincidentally! (I’m on a small quilt kick). Love your work…..as much as I love all your pet photos and blog discussion. Thanks for all you do!
Is it better call those places to give her help or does it work to send her a JoAnn gift card to her home?
The Fig Leaf is my local quilt shop—they’ve been in Fort Collins over 30 years and are wonderful. They will work with you on however you’d like to help Jo. Laura is the owner. Her husband, whose name escapes me at the moment, and her elderly parents, Miriam and Joe, are there most every day as well.
Just off the phone with The Fig Leaf in Ft. Collins. Amanda was very sweet and helpful and when I mentioned Jo’s name she knew exactly who she is. I was able to go online on their web site and buy a gift certificate. Amanda said everyone at the shop knows Jo and they will make sure she receives the gift. How cool is that!
Mary, thanks for giving us this opportunity to be blessed to give!
Hugs,
Judy in Texas
