It’s Good Friday, a very sad day for Christians but we know what’s coming. As a collective group, we are sorry Easter weekend won’t be spent in church. This week we recorded the music to improve the sound quality. The service will be on Facebook – Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church in Garner – if you’re interested.
I am still trying to correct the photo issue on the blog. The pictures that should have posted last Saturday and got involved in the “meltdown”, please accept my apologies. Those pictures are lost. Gayle – your wool pincushion was one. If your project has not been posted and you’d like me to post it, please resend the photos. I apologize!
When I think of over 2600 of you waiting for a blog post, it makes me very anxious and worried that something will happen again. Denise helped me because it’s all beyond my capabilities. I told her it was like me trying to teach her how to play the piano through text messaging. It’s very easy for me but for the person trying to learn on the other end, it’s very confusing. Sigh.
Here are Dirty Dozens that I do have:
From Diane Bauer in CO-
A few more from Linda G. showed up way back in my media library!
From Donna O.
That’s everything I have for DD pictures – if you don’t see yours, send it to me again with my apologies!
When I finish writing this, I’m heading upstairs to clean my closet! I can’t find my clothes it’s such a mess!
Connie has the pattern written for the Blue Plaid Quilt along with a Polka Dot Star quilt – if today’s pictures post, I will have all the ordering details tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
I will try my best to see your church service on Sunday! I must be the only person in the world who has a problem with using FB. My daughter always says “MOM!” and in that tone that you all know what I’m talking about!
Beautiful quilts came thru. The colors and the quilting are so nice. The ones of Joy and Noel may be more for Christmas but somehow they do feel appropriate for the Easter season. Happy Easter everyone and pray that you and your family are well.
We have a sunny but cold and windy day with a few snow and sleet showers every now and then. But the bleeding heart, daffodils and other spring flowers are blooming so spring is here! I am also off to tackle a closet..ugh..
The only blank I had was just before the pumpkin table runner.
A different kind of Easter weekend ahead. Making masks and trying to get started outta blocks together for a quilt top.
Got 10 baby chicks last week- my how they have grown over the past 8 days!
Got pepper and tomato plants in raised beds a few days ago – praying for no hail in the thunderstorms predicted.
Got the pictures. Happy Easter.
Happy Easter. He will arise in three days. Hallelujah!
Love all the colorful quilts!
I so appreciate all that you do in putting this blog together. I don’t think I’m the only one who understands when something goes wrong like when the pictures don’t show. Please be gentle on yourself at those times. Take care and have a blessed Easter. 🌿🌹🌿
All photos except #8 showed up. Thanks so much for your posts.
Yea, #8 was a no show here too.
I have tried Facebook too, not much luck here either.
Diane, those are too cute. All the dd’s add a smile to me.
Technology is great when it works, possessed when it doesn’t!
Mary, we will miss seeing your cinnamon rolls for the church this Sunday. They always look so good.
Happy Easter everyone
Jo in WY – oh my gosh, I had even forgotten them. The package of frozen ones are in freezer just waiting for me. Darn it.
Gotpics. Only 1 blank. Thanks! And HAPPY EASTER!!!.
It is so windy here I think I I could be Dorothy and be blown clear to Boston!!
Awoke to snow on the ground but it’s all melted now with the sun out. One thing never fails us and it’s Mother Nature!! She keeps us on our toes. And reminds us flowers are so pretty in spring. I will miss not seeing our church filled with lilies and hyacinths Easter Sunday.
But what is so pretty is all these lovely pictures of creations shared with us. Except the one that didn’t come through like others have said as well. Great job Mary keeping up with all this and at least trying to give us some normalcy.
Like Sheila said, be gentle with yourself. It’s all way above us who would rather spend our limited brain space quilting and talking to our pets.
Kathy – we had wind gusts of 58 mph yesterday! Sounds like they’re at your house now!
hi mary. pictures all came through fine today. sometimes the internet is just wacky, with so many schools going online, all types of things can go wrong – nobody’s fault. my dh can email me something from 50 yds away and i won’t get it until the next day.. what?! all the quilts are just gorgeous. really really like the elongated triangles. happy easter everyone. stay well. patti in florida
Hey, there, Mary, don’t stress out about your blog. It’s the beautiful story of your life and as such, we love to hear your news, good and bad, happy and sad… whatever you share, it’s wonderful! We’ll even enjoy a picture of your cleaned out closet and your “death pile” of donations! It might inspire others to do the same.
My husband and I were talking about how much we liked the social connections and prayerful life that Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday held for us as kids. This year it’s like, should I cook a big dinner or do you want grilled cheese and tomato soup?
This too shall pass… I guess…
Be still!
That is exactly what we are having tonight for dinner…grilled cheese and tomato soup!!!! Need to use up some bread and feeling like comfort food instead of ordering the usual fish fry.
All but one picture came through as everyone else said. Lots of beautiful work there!!
I am still in Liscomb. Will be here until my brother and sister-in-law go back to their respective offices. Spring is here, it is fun to see the flowers coming up!! Daffodils maybe blooming Sunday, they are open in Marshalltown. Hyacinth may make a showing also. We are to have cold again and rain for the weekend. My brother and sister-in-law are going to “be checking on their elderly relatives” so will be here for Easter!! He will pay for that comment!! LOL! Actually they will be coming tomorrow as they have 5-8″ of snow coming for Sunday!! It will be good to see them!!
Thanks for all you do, Mary I am glad it isn’t me dealing with the computer problems…I would have been done long ago! So glad you are feeling better. I may check in on your Easter service!
Have a blessed Easter He is risen!
I got all the pictures but the one before the pumpkin table runner. All the projects are beautiful. Thanks for all you do Mary. I love your blog. Happy Easter everyone.
He is risen!
He is risen indeed!
Happy Easter everyone. Saw all the pictures except the one before the pumpkin runner. Everyone did a great job. Enjoyed seeing them.
Finished up my flower gardens spring spruce up. Windy yesterday blew in a lot of leaves. Rain tomorrow and SNOW for Sun. and Mon. S.E. MN is right in the path for heavy snow. The upside is I can sew . Stay home and be safe.
I have a large area in my garden with Virginia Blue Bells that are in full bloom. I’m always thrilled to see them. They are about a week early. I feel like I’m spending my days watching the grass growing and the leaves appearing on the trees. Not really but I feel that way some days. So grateful for the sewing machine. Hope to get a quilt for my daughter-in-law ready for quilting when we are able to get out to the gal that does my quilting.
I got all the pictures and oh my how I loved the Queen quilt! it has turned rather chilly here in TN but the sun is shinning and we managed to stain our deck over the past two days. Hope to be using come Easter Morning, coffee and sun coming up.
Mary, please stress less about the blog being perfect, we all understand that technology is not perfect and its also not everyone cup of tea.
Happy Easter to you both and all those lovey farm pets
Mary, please know we all love the blog, but we will not fall off the planet if we miss one or two. Ease up on yourself; we’ll be okay. 😃 It is safer to worship from home this year. I can look out at beautiful spring flowers and trees and know that I am safe. I thought you had reposted my pumpkin table runner, but someone else made the same one—neat😃. It’s a fun pattern. Take care, Mary and Happy Easter to all. It snowed a little this AM—cooler, too. 42 degrees.
No worries Mary, appreciate your persistence in figuring it out. Only 1 missing pic this post. Be safe and well. Happy Easter
Well I got ten pictures, some times it is not your fault they don’t show. My son the computer whizz says that some times solar flares can interrupt the things that are sent when the weather gets stormy.
As everyone said don’t worry so much about it , we are all happy to get what ever we get. Brightens my day!
Easter will be a bit lonely for us. No grandkids having a treasure hunt for their Easter baskets, they are all to old but still liked to have one every year it is a tradition. If it is God’s will maybe I will live long enough
to have great grands.
Gods Blessing to All this Easter Season.
All the pictures came through and love seeing what everyone is doing, especially now that we have to stay home and can’t get together with other quilters. I love your blogs and know how much of your time this takes but enjoy seeing your farm life and all the animals. It’s like having an extended family. Your quilts give me inspiration. Please don’t be anxious about getting everything perfect on your blogs you do so much better than most of us. I don’t even know how to send a picture of my quilts to show everyone. Oh well, feeling more and more like my mom and I’m sure she’s looking down laughing at me. Please have a wonderful Easter. Bless you and your family and to all you quilters out there.
