Hint Hint

The cookie container from the freezer was left out where I couldn’t miss it – hint hint.  So, with another slow day ahead of me, I baked cookies again.

As I turned around, Rox was sitting there looking up at me just hoping there might be a crumb for her.

I’ll bet I can find one for her.  I’m off to town to pick up Hope – it’s a nice sunny day and I know she’ll want to do chores with me.  Elmer is easy to please – give him a chair in the sun.

Thanks Mary. I love reading your news and seeing pics. Glad you have sun today – we have snow -an Alberta Clipper will give us about 10cm (2.5″) they say.

Now, who’s the hinter and who’s the hintee? Am I to assume you made a really big batch of dough and froze it for this auspicious occasion? I get no thrill out of baking but did make a double batch of meatloaf recently and froze one. Unfortunately, my husband took it out of the freezer when he was on an ice cream treasure hunt and forgot to put it back. When discovered a few days later, I wasn’t very happy and went back to my sewing room and finished the charm pack and jelly roll quilt, all reds and whites/ecrus. Now, of course, it needs to be quilted, once I find something suitable for the backing. Will try your channel row quilting. Do you recommend any particular batting?

Glad we have no snow in the Phoenix area but our daughters in CT got our share … About 16″

Oh how do you stay out of that dough? It would be gone, frozen or not in my house. I bought my brother in law an ice cream maker for Xmas, so each night he was making a different flavor trying to get everyone’s favorite. When I told him cookie dough he asked if he had to make the dough? I told him I’m not picky, but the premade Toll House or whatever at the grocery store and throw that in! I could live on ice cream, cookie dough and Mexican food! Can you tell I’m trying to do Weight Watchers again? ๐Ÿ™‚

Our cookie jar has only three cookies left. I tried the M and M’s Amazing Chocolate cookies. They were delicious. I baked them as a soft cookie. Your dear little Roxy looks a lot like our schnauzer poodle mix Toto. He lived to be nineteen. He was the sweetest dog. My dad found him at a local landfill. We think he may have been an unwanted Christmas gift as he found him in January. I still miss him.

Cookies??? I was thinking that maybe if I avoided the cookies, I might have lost more than 10# this week. I’m going to have to increase my core situps or start including leg raises as well.

Hi Mary, I know you’ve mentioned before where the pattern for Wildflowers can be found. Just don’t know where to begin looking. Would you mind mentioning that again. Thank you so much!
