Hot Afternoon

We are expecting severe thunderstorms this evening – this is typical – just when the sweet corn is getting perfect we get high winds to blow the stalks flat on the ground – to say nothing about the precious field crops!

Nope – didn’t work.

Oh mary! How FRUSTRATED you must be. I wonder why or how the picture of rick’s sweet corn posted? No ads to close.

I did have ads to close. So sorry for your frustration, so hard to deal with I’m sure. Glad you still have someone helping you. The Apple store must not have had any ideas – whew! One day at a time, will hope that your frustrations are gone soon!!

Yes, no picture but 7 or 8 ads to close. The only positive outcome of all of this was learning how to
remove the ad blocker so I can close ads . I hope this little bit helps!! We are all being patient< Mary.
    Thanks for all your efforts.

Did you give us a new quilt number for August? Or, did I miss the number?

    1. Kathy in western NY

Arliene -Number 3. It’s written in the comments so that’s how I found out.

Good try Mary. No pix but some ads to close so halfway there again. I can’t imagine what is going on to have it work once and then not.

Closed just one ad this afternoon. Hope you are getting closer. It’s probably something simple.

Oh! Mary, we had “High Hopes 🎵🎶”
If you get the winds, you’ll be puttin up corn tomorrow.

Loretta went to the vet this morning, now I have a 23lb golden retriever. She is a teenie tiny one.

    1. Diane Bauer

How old is she, Jo? I have two Goldens–75 lbs and 57 lbs. –and the 57 lb. one seems tiny to me!

      1. Jo in Wyoming

She is will be 5 at thanksgiving. She’s not full golden. But she looks like a golden puppy. We keep her clipped so she will always look like a puppy.

Have a beer!! and I’ll pray the storms don’t damage the corn because I can’t believe it is ready yet.

Mary, When you were at the Apple store, did you ask them to try uploading photos to the blog? Wish I had thought of this before you went there.

  13. Gloria from CC

Seven ads to close. Sorry the pictures aren’t loading. Who is your internet provider? We have storm warnings here in Charles City too. Hope they miss us although we need the rain. Hang in there Mary. Tomorrow is a brand new day.

Mary, can you post photos in your email? Just wondering out loud.
Hope that thunder and wind storm does not materialize. That corn is just beautiful!
Closed approx. 5 ads. They seem to come in just fine. lol

Just today I got a note from a friend saying I was requesting a second friends request on Facebook. I think someone had hacked my Facebook account. Oh joy!
Need to report to Facebook now.
Don’t these people (hackers) have anything better to do??!!!
Closed 12 ads today. A few showed up twice.

No pictures, a couple of sentences. No ads. Read through the comments. Not sure how some knew the number for August was #3, but I am glad to hear it. But sadly, I am still on #8!

    1. Kathy in western NY

Me too Connie. My #8 never left the design wall cause it became a rip and sew again project so I think I will work on the next number which is a Mary and Connie old pattern. Guess I see why #8 is going to stay a UFO. I want my hobby to be a happy time so time to move on.
