I cannot believe it, 8-31-26

I wrote a long post earlier today and saved it as a draft…..now it’s gone and I’m not going to start again.

The Dirty Dozen Number is NINE – 9.

If I can find it again I’ll post it tonight.

Here’s one of the pretty pictures!

You have a good eye Mary for capturing photos. We all sure seem to enjoy life on the farm photos and stories you share with us and it makes our days complete when we hear from you.
I have a question about fabrics for the Bulleyes quilt which I’m excited about making another one. Do cottons give us as soft an effect as the flannels ? I love my flannel Bulleyes and deciding either polka dot cottons or pastel flannels this time. I know you said batiks don’t work well.

Your home, beautiful barn view out the window, and very pretty bouquet on a quilt are so welcome to my eyes this morning. Thank you, Mary, for sharing this sweet photo—it’s all we need. ❤️

Mary, so sorry – I have “lost” documents on my laptop before and it is so frustrating. We are near record breaking temps here in central Illinois so I am going out to water and do a few chores in the garden now before it gets any hotter. Hope you have a great day – your flowers are lovely.

I agree with Judy in Arizona. Totally interesting blog and thanks so much. I love those flowers. I understand how frustrating it is to lose a draft. So maddening! Hope you can find it.

Speaking of pretty pictures – I loved the photo of the bad-hair girls yesterday! You really took a good one Mary of the grown-up ladies! Seems like thy were just chicks in the Springtime, but here it is with Fall nearly here. The corn info was interesting – each kernel and silk and cob a wonder, and I didn’t realize the huge inpact of field corn. Yours is such an interesting blog – and fun, too. Happy September 1st!
