Ina’s Front Page Article

Last week Ina was interviewed by the Mason City Globe Gazette, the largest paper in the North Central Iowa area, for her 85th Birthday.  This morning her article was featured on the front page!  Here’s a link to read the article for yourself: http://globegazette.com/news/local/year-old-quilter-stays-in-touch-with-her-work/article_ee7de945-9a38-5d38-a4a5-93ea70cdde36.html .

Congratulations Ina! Now the world knows what we have known about you for a long time-you are a terrific person who takes wonderful care of our quilts. I think I will have you sign my next quilt, since you are famous now!

What a wonderful article and picture of Ina! She looks like a wonderful woman and friend. I love the photo and how it shows her so diligently at work. I’m glad it was in color so you could see the colors of the quilt she is working on. I hope that when I’m 85, 95 and 103 (that’s how old I plan to get) I will be able to run my sewing and quilting machines just like her. Happy Birthday, Ina! From south central Kansas.

Boy, do I feel lazy after reading this article! Ina, you have quilted some of my quilt tops and made them look so beautiful – I’m always thrilled when I see the finished product! Here’s to many more years – you’re a gem!
