Becky stopped today to see the kittens and we were able to hold 3 of them. They are so tiny and so cute! I think Connie is going to take these little Gray Gray girls.
Mama was out of the box and I lifted the 3 remaining kitties out of the box where they’ve been living.
This afternoon I mixed up some baby kitten gruel and everybody came to eat!
And tonight I took down another meal and I could not believe my eyes! Mama and all babies are together in the cat carrier! O Happy Day! If they get comfortable in the carrier I’ll be able to get Mama to the vet! Too bad I didn’t have my phone with me to take the picture. This is called answered prayer, don’t you think?
And more good news in the barn – Baby Chick was able to fly up to the nest where Mom has been coaxing him for days. Remember I mentioned just yesterday he wasn’t quite able but just one day later Mama Hen is back in the nest where the chick hatched and he’s poking his head out from underneath her. Do I hear an Amen?
I am working on the wedding quilt – it’s on the longarm now and I hope to get it bound within the next week as well as make the pillowcases.
More tomorrow but I couldn’t wait to post all that good news from the barn.
This good news gives me a big smile to go to bed with. You really do have good news from the barn. Can’t wait to find out what sex baby chick is.
It’s been a successful day all around. Spring has sprung!
Thank you for keeping us up to date and maybe Mama is feeling a little more secure. Trust us such a fragile thing but maybe it is starting to take hold she sure is pretty and so are her children.
Sweet dreams everyone, all is well. Our Lord is answering all our prayers. Good night🙏🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱
So sweet!! Nothing cuter or sweeter than tiny baby kittens.
Yahoo and a big AMEN!!!
Great news!! Those babies are listening to prayers and teaching Mama that you are good and safe😺😺. Love hearing all is well before bed!!
Oh my, wonderful progress. They can feel the love surrounding them. How nice Connie will take the kittens but mama needs to stay with them. This is her family and she needs them as much as they need her. Hate seeing mother animals having their little ones ripped away from them.
Maryjane – I won’t give them to anyone until they’re weaned and Mom is tired of them. It breaks my heart, too, but I simply cannot take in 5 kittens. I will not give them to anyone who just leaves them outside – these kittens will be loved!
Yes…your prayers were answered.
God is good! 😊Cute kittens and momma
kitty looks happy.
WOW! Fantastic news! Answered prayers for sure! You are amazing! What an accomplishment.
Enjoyed the update and the pictures!
How wonderful!
A men and hallelujah. Wonderful pictures and news!
Wish I lived close enough to drive over and adopt the little white one with the black polka dots. Her (?) picture made my heart go pitter-patter in your earlier post. What quilter does not like polka dots ?
The kittens are so sweet. Delighted to know that you can hold them so they can feel your love.
Love those little kittens!
Sweet sweet babies and a good mama to keep her watch over them as closely as she does. The trust is being earned and it makes me so happy to read you will watch some go to a very good home eventually.
My vet always said a cat finds you so mama kitty came there to be loved and taken care of. She is just as pretty as her babies. Good work and tons of patience paid off!
That is good news. You are so good to your fury friends.
Amen!
Blessed are they that you are so loving and caring Mary!! God was looking out for them as well!!
AMEN!!!! Great news from the barn…..Mama kitty is so pretty and her babies take after her!
Amen!
Sounds like a good day.
Thank you for ALL the news each and every time you post! So fun to keep up on the happenings at the farm. LOVE the kitties and their mama! I know you will have success adopting them out. Inch by inch you gained their confidence. Have a great week and hope the RAIN hasn’t caused too much havoc around the farm!
Such wonderful news about your babies!! I love these stories and I read them right after i have my quiet time with the Lord. Your story reminds me that God cares for the kittens and chicks, how much more will He care for you… remember Matt 6:25-34 about the birds of the air??? Carolyn Barnett
Carolyn – thanks for that reminder!
That is great news.
Ok so this inquiring mind needs to know. Mom was out of the box and you took three kittens out of the box and she saw you do it? And she didn’t attack or do anything? What was her reaction to you holding them? It feels like a daily show I need to find out what happens next. I think this is just awesome news!!!
Amy – I wasn’t too close to Mama but she still growled. Today all the kittens were in the carrier but Mama was off to the side and she DID come after me when I set the food down. Little by little I think it will get better.
ok we’ll just don’t let her bite you! I think she is making progress (all my cat knowledge!) I’m happy to hear the kittens are venturing out and she is letting them.
those babies are so sweet! so glad you are making progress 🙂
I am so glad that you are able to start socializing the kitties. They do get used to loving people because they can feel their love. That in turn builds trust with them. Too bad I am not in the neighborhood I will be there loving those sweet furballs. Felicia
Felicia – I wish you were here to help me with the kitties!
