The lawn is mowed AGAIN! With our steady rains, the grass grows fast and when it stops raining, I know it’s my chance to mow. I’ve been mowing twice a week for several weeks now. Good thing I don’t have a job, huh?
Just a quick word about the Gypsy Wife sew-along. I will be posting inspiration only and hope to learn how to post your photos to the blog as well. No pattern will be given – everyone will need to have their own booklet and I hope to start at the beginning and simply follow the book. If you’re going to sew along, you are welcome to work ahead if I’m too slow for you. The cheapest I have found the book is $23 plus $3.00 shipping. I am still looking but will post that link for you later.
Bernadette Jackson – I have answered your question, given you a second email address as well as my cell phone number. The only way I have to contact you is via the comment section so you must read those to see my response to your questions.
And here is my “action” shot today. Here are Bentley, Ezra and Leo coming in the house. Faye and Telly are with Rick. I am off to Concord Care this afternoon for the monthly birthday party. It’s raining again.
I keep forgetting to tell you that my oriole is back! He was here a couple weeks ago, left and returned Wednesday – he has a favorite tree and he sings his heart out!
FYI…The Gypsy Wife booklet is $23.50 (includes shipping) on Etsy.
I found it (and bought it, I have to do this sew along) on Etsy at ModernQuilter for $23.50 & FREE shipping if you’re in the U.S.
Hi Mary, I have ordered my Gypsy Wife booklet (from the Fat Quarter Shop, good price if you are outside the US) and have been doing some preliminary stash raiding. As soon as the pattern arrives I will be ready to join you in the sew along. Can’t wait.
Raining here today in Holland: quilting weather, this weekend!
Regards Fiona.
Hi, there, well, I showed my husband the Gypsy Wife pattern and he REALLY liked it! Wow…I guess I’m in. One inCh squares and all!
Will order my pattern this weekend. I hope you don’t start real soon…seeing as how your first week of a June might be a little busy? I’d love to sew along. It would be great fun to find a way to share photos!
Your property is lovely! Can you get a few more goats to “mow” for you?
The grounds look really wonderful Mary! So good to hear the Oriole has returned again; maybe it was looking for a mate?
Upper 90’s heading this way.
I just purchased the book in the Etsy shop Modern Quilter online.
The website is https://www.etsy.com/listing/167367399/free-shipping-gypsy-wife-pattern-booklet
The cost was 23.00 with no shipping or tax. It ships out of Omaha, NE
Her Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/pages/ModernQuilter/159904174519?ref=hl
Looks like fun Mary! Hope I can keep up!
Such a beautiful yard – heavenly. Worth all the work. Calif.
