Kids and Kitties

Connie takes her kittens, Lily and Dot, to the lake with her every weekend and they are good little travelers.  Claire just loves cats – she wants to BE a cat so you can imagine how thrilled she was to meet Lily and Dot this weekend!

Ben is doing well and enjoying the kittens but Claire is IN LOVE!

It’s a shame the other two sisters can’t go home with Claire.  I just love these sweet pictures!

Here’s a picture of Karla digging up some flowers in Connie’s garden last week that missed my post.

I was planning on taking three of my favorite people out to lunch tomorrow – Rick being one of them but he’s driving truck tomorrow so it’s going to be just Reed, Gayle and me.  I’ll post a picture.

The goats relax this afternoon.

This is five of the twelve.

I went to see Wonder Woman in 3-D on Friday night and loved it!  Me – the person who doesn’t like fantasy/science fiction – ha!  I would highly recommend it.

Hope you’re all enjoying a long weekend!

Just got home from seeing Wonder Woman. Loved it. What a story it tells. And it was nice and cool in the theater. Your pictures keep us all on track with your friends and animals. Thank you for sharing.

So happy to see a photo of Ben and to hear he is doing well. I have prayed for him each and every day since you told us about his illness… God answers prayers.

Your kittens that Connie has are so pretty and so healthy looking, can you post another photo of the kittens you want to find new homes again? Love your blog.

Looks like the kittens love her too. I love the photos where one of the kittens keeps her paw on Claire.
    Have a wonderful holiday.

Thanks for all the great pictures and commentary. Are those windmills in the background of the scenic view with your goats? We pass some in Indiana on our way to Kentucky and they are striking.

Delores – we have many wind farms in N. Iowa – very windy here!

A girl and her kittens! Those goats 🐐 are a hoot. Connie’s garden is very impressive. Happy 4th of July to you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARY!! I think it’s today:) That last picture of the goats is gorgeous–I think you can see all the way to Ohio or South Dakota–depends on which way you’re looking. Actually, probably Michigan since Ohio is south of you!! Love your kitty pictures and Claire. Ben looks so healthy–whew. Happy 4th:)

Happy birthday from me also. Hope it is a special day for you. Nice they do fireworks to celebrate even if that’s a day late.

    Hi Mary,
I didn’t know it was your special day! Many, many more.
My precious lambs have been back in Iowa for a week and a couple of days. Kelly sends me pics of the lambs and they seems to be adjusting extremely well. She tells me soon they will be able to graze with the small flock she has. She want them to know her and the family first before they go into the field for the day. So lonesome at my little barn. But it is for the best. Also it is so much cooler there than this sweltering heat here in Texas.
I would love to have those baby kittens. Girls are what we want. I would name the Lilly and Rose. If someway somehow there was a way. They would be indoor gals.
    Happy Day, Sue, argyle tx.

Sue – if you had really meant Iowa, I would have visited them. Please send me your home email address. I want to talk to you – privately.
