Lantern Lights

Look what I just finished– it’s called Lantern Lights from the book “Large Block Quilts”. It measures 90″ x 90″ and needs only 25 — 18″ blocks. Brandi double quilted it making the machine quilting charge more than we would normally recommend but it is just simply wonderful. The remaining strips are used for binding which I will do next but I couldn’t wait to show you.

For 10 days I have been having Ipad issues that are now fixed, thank goodness. I got mixed up with an online tech support group that charged me $200 to fix it and after 35 phone calls and many long hours on the phone with them, I went to my local Verizon dealer in Mason City who reset all my devices and now everything is working again. Whew! Someone said just last week that they were impressed with my blogging “skills” — ha! Not really!

Mary, your quilt is so “mod”….I think that makes you mod too? I think I can get into this new stuff. I love your quilt.

Brandi put the quilt on the machine and did straight line quilting all over the quilt. Then she took it off the machine and put it back on in the opposite direction and quilted straight lines again which equals double the labor and double the amount of quilting. It is stunning! I have never seen the machine quilting transform a quilt so completely.

If you take a look at the August 1st farm news, you will see a close up of the quilting.
