My newest boarder, MoEllen, a 5 month golden doodle puppy! And Telly loves her. She has not played with any dog like she has with Mo in years which makes us happy. Telly and Mo wrestle on the ground and chase each other round and round, giving us hope that the old Telly is still inside.
Mo discovered the swimming pool pretty much right away and a ping pong ball that she played with endlessly.
Notice that Roxie got a haircut yesterday. Today her name is Rat Dog.
Last Saturday I gave Sam the quilt for the baby – we had a small party on the porch knowing it would be our last one for the summer. The baby, Owen Charles Lund, was born yesterday and weighed 6 lbs. 3 oz.. Sam and Owen are both doing well.
Glad to hear you are feeling better:) And, so happy to hear Owen is here; it’s HOT to be pregnant in August–our grandson Owen was born 8/18/02 and our daughter’s bday is 8/25. HOT and humid again in Central Ohio. The heat index has been 96 to 105 degrees. Lots of kids (and teachers) don’t have air conditioning at their schools. Whew. That little MoEllen is adorable; so happy Telly is enjoying her.
I’m happy to see Telly having a good time. Love the baby quilt, and I’ll bet the new mom is happy to have her little bundle OUTSIDE in the heat, rather than inside!
I think Rat Dog is super cute, I like the hair cut.
Mary…Happy to know you are feeling better. The dogs are all cute. You amaze me with your many projects/ideas/plans/parties/etc. we are back from seeing “Ben-Hur”…(still hot in Texas with scattered raindrops. Also very good to see Ben doing well.
Little Mo is adorable, but a “golden” doodle? Sure looks black to me?
I thought the same thing.
So good to hear you are recovering Mary….and have some company with MoEllen. And a new little baby boy got a new quilt. Wind has picked up here which isn’t good for the Cedar fire…..It is somewhat cooler. Roxie looks cooler with her haircut.
I missed you at the lake. Sad you weren’t feeling well. Maybe next year we can connect. Had fun with Connie.
Jane – I had so looked forward to that day! What are the chances I’d be sick? Yes, next year we’ll try again.
Glad to hear that you are better! Have you gotten any blue morning glories yet? I mentioned to you when you said that you hadn’t gotten any flowers yet, that we hadn’t either. We have a few (3) now – they are just gorgeous but we surely would love more! Hope you have some too!
Always enjoy seeing what’s happening in your world, Mary. Glad you are feeling better.
I love your posts, thank you for sharing your day to day life–quilting, farm life and especially the animals. Look forward to them, please keep up the great work!
Love Mo but my cat (also black) wouldn’t like that at all. Summer colds and illnesses are the worst. Glad you are so much better. Always miss your blogs. Appreciate them so much.
Good to hear you are better. Have you tried a Jelly roll race by Missouri Quilt. Look it up and see what you think. Paula in KY
Paula – we made dozens of these quilts when the shop was open. I have made and given away quite a few and have a friend coming next month to make one as well. If you haven’t made one, you really should give it a try, race or not!
