Moe Is the Dog

Sorry I wasn’t clear – Moe is a girl dog. Her owner is the one who tested positive, not Moe.

So now you are quarantined? Ky is getting worse and our county is now a hot spot. Paula in KY

Hey, Paula – how many dark/light pairs of 1-1/2” squares should I make?

Many, Many, Many……this has alot of background in it. I am making the same size so several hundred. It’s gonna be fun! PP

Paula Philpot – ok! I’ll keep sewing – ha! I’ll take some pictures and put on the blog today and if I can figure out how to put in a link to you, I will.

Mary…Thanks for clearing that up! Your barn picture is wonderful!
Getting a brief thundershower up here!
    Be Calm, my friend!

  3. Janette

I will be praying you stay well. I don’t comment often, but I read and enjoy all of your emails.

The barn picture with the flag is perfect. Prayers for you and Rick that you stay healthy. What a shocker to find out. You are so kind hearted.

  5. Elaine Kopischke-Trejo

I’m so sorry….I pray you don’t develop anything!!! Please stay safe and take care.

  6. Ginny

I sure hope you don’t catch it! George’s girlfriend went
to Myrtle Beach, SC last week. It is a hot spot for Corona. I told he can’t come over here until she gets tested. I have been so careful because of our health situation so I don’t want to take any chances. Stay well, stay still.
Wish Moe’s mom a speedy recovery.

Ginny – I plan to stay home and self quarantine – I won’t be playing for church or going to the store for some time. I was so careful not to go anywhere without my mask.

Let’s hope for a speedy recovery for Moe’s dad.

Happy Birthday to my branch manager…granddog Loki. He is 17 today. A 140 pound German Shepard.
He still loves a stick. He’s deaf now, but doing pretty good for a big, old boy!

Jo in Wyoming – big dogs don’t usually live that long! Yay for Loki!

I sure hope Moes owner wasn’t in a large gathering before he got sick as this virus spreads so quickly. I will pray you don’t get sick and will you get the easy test to reassure yourself? My husband had the test and said it was nothing but a nasal swab as he was an essential worker when this virus began here in NY in March. It’s all so reckless to see these large gatherings just spreading it around more and more that we will never get a handle on people bringing it back to others. Keep the faith Mary there is good in this world…..I am just
Picking and choosing who and where it’s best to be with. Thankful I love my sewing and reading times HOME.

Kathy in western NY – I don’t intend to get the test – I will just stay home with NO visitors!

I will be praying for you Mary and Moe’s owner. Tonight we were able to see the beautiful fireworks from our kitchen window. Seems like they were especially nice. It feels almost like normal around here but we still are careful.

I am praying Mary. Get some sunshine…it doesn’t like the sun. Rest a little more. You will be fine…just say you won’t get it. I am praying Moe’s owner just tested positive and isn’t sick.
    This all must end soon.

Beryl in Owatonna – oh, I get hours of sunshine each day and I guess I could rest more – read more. Moe’s owner was sick last week but is much better now!

So sorry to hear Moe’s owner has been diagnosed with this scourge. We arrived in Vermont from FL June 10 and promptly quarantined for 2 weeks. Vermont has done a good job of containing this virus and is still shut pretty tightly, and we are finally going out for dinner for the first time since March. But we will be eating only outside. Staying home hasn’t been so terrible for people our age, but I can only imagine how hard that would be with young children. All the best to you both, and I hope this virus stays away from your house.

Hi Mary. I wasn’t clear on my comment. My dear friend Was exposed in church. Our church is large and we are creatures of habit and always sit in the same section/bench 😉. The section she and her hubby sat in has several people with COVID. They all came down with it about the same time. Ugh! Our church is in Sioux county. I spoke we will all get it eventually, but I’d just as soon not.
Yesterday our excitement was going for a nice ride with our ‘honeymoon’ Car.

  14. Linda Carpenter

2 friends we have in 2 different states have gotten Covid from church. It’s just not worth gathering right now. We are missing our granddaughter’s wedding in Minneapolis in August. We live in Colorado and feel it’s not safe to travel across country. Sad to miss, but we are both high risk.

    1. CountryThreads Post author

Linda Carpenter – that’s very sad you will miss her wedding!

  15. Kathy in western NY

Yeah there is ads!!! I came back to read comments and found them.
Yippeee!!! Kinda scary though my ads were all dermatologist related. I just talked to a friend about making an appt at one.

  16. Jo Kramer

Sorry Mary. Does that mean you are quarantining for 14 days? Were you close to her at all when she picked up Moe?

    1. CountryThreads Post author

Jo Kramer – no I was not close to her – I met her at the gate and let the dog out to her so it’s very doubtful I could have gotten anything but I’m willing to quarantine so nobody is worried.
