Monday at the Farm

Connie and I set up the checkout in the garage today and moved furniture.  The weather sounds like spotty storms Wednesday night, Thursday and Friday – just what I dreaded.  All the stuff that needs to go out in the yard could possibly be wet.  I also set out all the baby succulents that I worked on all winter – all of these little plants are free and for somebody wanting to get started with succulents, it’s a great opportunity to get acquainted with these interesting houseplants.  I also mowed some more lawn and after a long day I sat down in the chair and Connie snapped these pictures.  No words needed.

These eggs were getting too old to give away or use in baking so tonight I made eggs for the dogs again.  Spray the muffin tin with non-stick spray, crack an egg and bake 15 minutes in a 400 degree oven.  This is a real treat for my dogs – Bentley liked his egg, too.  Ezra went home this morning – I really enjoyed having her here.  What a sweet girl!

Tomorrow is another day – more mowing and setting up.  I can’t wait to sew something!

Are you going on vacation after your big sale? Maybe a quilt retreat? Wouldn’t that be wonderful, and well-earned!

That’s the biggest lap dog I’ve ever seen! What a relief it will be to you and Connie to have this sale over and done with.

Even with all your hard work for the sale, you have the happy, “look at me, I’m retired” smile. Great look!

I will be traveling though on Friday from Des Moines to Osage (my hometown) and traveling with a small dog. Will she have to stay in the van while I shop???? I would love to stop and purchase items but I will understand if you don’t want dogie shoppers….thanks

Becky – please bring your dog into the shop with you – I have 2 large fenced areas (kennels, if you will) that you can leave your dog in while you shop. I’ll make sure there;s water in the kennel for your little doggie! Hope I get to meet him/her while you’re here.

I’ll be pouting all weekend since I have to miss your WONDERFUL SALE and the free succulents.

Oh how I wish I lived closer to you. I live in Texas. But how I wish I could take advantage of this great sale. But will be keeping up with it. I know you will post pictures. Good luck on your weather situation.

Oh how I wish I could buy the white cupboard in the first picture!
    Have a successful sale.

    Hi Mary,
I wish you and Connie all the best with the sale later this week, and will be keeping my fingers crossed for good ‘sale weather’. It is wet and stormy here in Holland today, but the weather is supposed to improve later in the week, so hopefully that will happen in Iowa too!
    Kind regards,
    Fiona.

Hoping your sales are plentiful, the temps are bearable and the rains hold off until next week!!
