Just opened the door and took this picture – can it really be April 8?
Some of you apparently got an error message instead of the post about rugs on April 6. I have no idea why – I wish I did. I’ll try to repost or at least give you the important details tomorrow.
We have had another shocking death of a well liked man from our church. He always smiled and was so appreciative of our piano/ organ music – it will be a sad funeral for sure.
Maybe the sun will shine tomorrow
Boy, oh boy, you all could sure use some sunshine.
Let’s hope this crazy weather get over with before planting. I remember the pix from last year when it wiped out the corn crop across the street.
Sorry about the fellow from church.
I got your post from the other day fine! Sorry for the lost to the man’s family. How is that chicken in the snow?
Mary – she’s fine – I just posted a comment about her.
This looks more like a Christmas card scene than April. Spring is coming sometime. Hang in there.
Mary so sorry to hear of loss of church member.
Snow snow go away…..Plenty of sunshine coming your way!
I know you’re sick of it, but your barn in the snow makes a beautiful picture. I live in VT normally but have wussed out and am in FL today. Some green is a great mood lifter. It’s always so sad when a nice person passes so suddenly, but in my age group it seems to happen more and more. I know it can only get worse. How is the chicken that was covered with snow in the corner of the barn? I’m hoping for some spring coming your way.
Pat – the hen is fine – as if nothing happened! I remember feeling her skin and she was very warm – even with the snow but by morning she would have frozen, I’m sure.
That’s what spring is in Rapid City. Snows like mad, snow melts in a couple days and the grass is green. And while the snow is falling, the birds are singing all over the place and it smells really nice.
We were happy to see the sun the last two days but it sure was cold! I think my older llama really was happy to be wearing a coat. I had to make it smaller today after I took it off. We didn’t get much for snow today – let’s see what happens overnight.
So sorry to hear of your well loved church member, it is so hard on everyone when they die so suddenly. Always good that he didn’t have to suffer.
Hope tomorrow is a better day.
Kathy – send me a picture of your llama with her coat on.
By now, you must feel like it will never end. The snow, I mean. It will though. It just has to because even Mother Nature isn’t powerful enough to keep warm spring weather away. I hope anyway. It has been rather cold and stormy here on the OR coast, but at least it isn’t snowing.
Sorry about your friend.
How is your husband doing? Getting better and better I hope.
It’s supposed to finally hit 50’s in Wisconsin by Wednesday. Rain, but who cares! My condolences to the family of your church member.
Sorry you have to attend the funeral of a good person and feel that loss. It’s harder as we age I think as it shows our own time on this earth to make every day a good day. We just got back from a spring break trip to South Carolina and they too have had many cold days and I think it was evident with all the local families camping on Easter. Everyone needed some sunshine even if it was 60 degrees.
Hope your husband is healing well.
I am sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. As for the snow – it is just not right! Hope it melts quick!!
Beautiful pic, we are waiting for spring in KY too but nothing like you have. Paula in KY
I’m so sorry to hear about the death of your friend. God has him now! I’m having difficulty with the winter to spring transition here in Indiana but you have it way worse than we do. Hopefully this is the last of it until next winter.
