I am too busy reading to take time to write a blog post – ha! I’ll get to finish it tomorrow – oh, it’s very good!
The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah.
I loved a previous book by Hannah – The Nightingale — so I took a chance on her newest novel which takes place in Alaska during the mid 70’s and tells the story of a Vietnam veteran suffering from PTSD and his family who are victims of his domestic abuse. Living “off the land” in a remote area becomes a life threatening situation when his volatile temper cannot be controlled.
This does NOT seem like a story I would like but I have read into the wee hours of the morning just glued to this book.
