I got this notice in my email this morning. Guess my timing was almost right when I said the new book Sew Charming was just about to ship!
Amazon thought I might be interested in this book – ha ha!
I think one simple quilt on our sew along right away would be fun but then I know you’re all going to be busy with Christmas so then we will continue in January. I will look over the projects to see if there would be one we could convert to Christmas colors to start on so maybe you could be thinking along those lines for a charm pack or scraps. That’s your assignment for now until your book arrives. Maybe I can get us started.
After I told you about Mojo I wished I had put his picture here. So for those of you who didn’t click on the link, here is the little dog who has stolen my heart. Mojo, the Magnificent.
Connie invited some girlfriends for coffee this morning. It was delicious and so fun! Not one of these gals is a quilter – several are retired teacher friends of Becky’s but there was no lack of interesting conversation and good food.
Are you watching the baseball game? I sure am and thinking of Mom who just loved the World Series!
Mojo looks a lot like my Isabella Blue wire hair fox terrier that was one of my best dogs ever! Good luck with your decision. Terriers are such wonderful, although stubborn dogs that steal your heart the moment you first meet.
Mojo is adorable. He looks so innocent yet behind that adorable exterior is a soul that is plotting his next adorable destructive adventure. BUT so cute. You will have a GREAT companion there. So happy for you both.
Awwww. He’s adorable and he looks smart!! 🐶🐶. I still need to order my book, but I will do a small project before Christmas if I can. Coffee and brunch foods are the best😃😃
I agree Mojo is so sweet. Funny Amazon thought “you” might be interested in your book. I’ve got mine ordered. Christmas charm squares ….I could be ready.
Just ordered your book- so excited
And how many books did you order?? Hahaha
I sew miss my quilting…today a nurse commented that he liked my t-shirt. It says “I quilt so I don’t choke people”. I told him to watch out, because I haven’t quilted in a very long time, the opposite might happen. And his eyes got big when he realized what it meant. Then I got this huge smile, as he left the room.
Ann – that is tooooo funny!!!
I ordered my book yesterday and wish it was here already. Can’t wait to see what you come up with for a project. We are watching the game, too.
I’m sort of confused, are their two Mojo’s you’re following? I thought one Mojo was being adopted and then I saw another Mojo on your Pinterest board who was available. Are there one Mojo or are then mo than one Mojo? You can’t have too much Mojo. Anyways, I ordered my book and will think about Christmas scraps. Go Cubs!!!!!
Rose – the only Mojo I’m in love with belongs to Jane London. If there’s one on Pinterest, it could be the same one, I guess, if she might have posted it. I don’t know.
Looks like a fun day and Mojo is so adorable!!
Book is ordered. Christmas fabrics are ready. Might even download to tablet in order to see it two weeks earlier. Mojo is so cute. Perhaps in the spring after the snow melts, you and Rick and the dogs will be ready to welcome a new puppy. They say we will have a lot of snow this year so your new charm book will keep me content.
Book ordered. Looking forward to sewing with you. So glad you are still sharing your interests with us post shop. When I read about your farm life it reminds me of how much world there is beyond my own. I’m here in Chicago both celebrating and suffering through this first game of the World Series. Been applying my sewing skills to making “W” flags to recognize Cubs wins. Thankful for a year of outstanding baseball and a team of winners on and off the field.
Does MOJO live near you and might possibly need an occasional overnight at your place? He us adorabke. Is he a Jack Russell?
Oh my! What a little sweetheart! No wonder your heart was doing back flips. Think I may did through my tub of Christmas fabrics and create a charm pack. The closest fabric store is 115 miles…one way. Trust me I am like most quilters and have my own “store” right here at home.
Thanks for letting us know about your book on Amazon. I can’t wait to get it! MOJO is adorable!
Wow. That little Mojo would have stolen my heart too. I am a huge fan of terriers. I have a Westie now who keeps me on my toes.
Your coffee time looked like a lot of fun. I love getting together with friends and catching up. Congrats on the book. That is wonderful.
This is such a wonderful World Series with our Midwestern teams. Everyone around here are cheering for the Cubs…such an exciting time in history! Our parents and grandparents would have loved this!
I can’t wait until my book comes!
The dog is adorable! Looks like he could just jump out of the picture!
Just ordered my book to join in on the fun! As for the WS coming from New England it is truly painful considering all the former players , manager, and even GM that were part of the RED SOX organization. Do not know if this is a trick or a treat with Hallowwen around the corner. In the meantime I will be cheering on the Cubs. 108 years is a long time. Love all of your adventures you share.
Waiting for the book from Amazon. Can’t wait to get it. Yes, will watch the World Series and sew!
Morning Mary, Loved seeing the sweet picture of MOJO and can understand you and Rick wanting one. How fun!
Busy times here with packing more boxes and sorting thru things to share with AM VETS and our nightly dumpster divers.
I’m patiently waiting for Buttermilk Basin to post the final block and hopefully the finishing directions for their LET IT SNOW sew along. Suppose to be posted on the 3rd Friday of the month.
I’ll be ordering your new book once we decide whether to have a PO box number or home delivery.
I VOTED ABSENTEE BALLOT and it’s mailed off this morning; so many propositions here in CA.
Bernina was packed up yesterday so no sewing for a while.
Psssttt! Looks like that friend needs a table runner for Christmas!! 🙂
Book ordered. Looking forward to seeing which design you choose for the quilt along. I have several charm square packs on hand, including a couple in Christmas prints, so I’m ready to begin when you are.
Mojo is so cute. I hope you do fulfill your desire for a Jack Russel terrier of your own.
Mojo is ADORABLE!!!! No wonder you’re dreaming of that little baby. Guess I’ll be investing in another Country Threads book! Love them all! Gayle
Mary, I saw your new book was featured on the Modafabrics blog and you and Connie would be at market talking about it at School house. Houston? Can’t wait for the quilt-along!
Pam – no, we won’t be there. Jennifer Keltner is speaking at Schoolhouse.
Go CUBS! What a beautiful kitchen Connie has. That farmer’s table is to die for.
That picture of Mojo the Magnificent has stolen my heart as well!
Mary, I would order the book, but I received your patterns and charm packs for at least two years! I enjoyed them all. I hope you decide to do one I have the pattern for.
Mojo is too cute for words.
Lee – I’m quite sure you will have the pattern unless it’s one we threw in at the end. Not to worry!
Mojo couldn’t be any cuter, Mary! I want to hold him!
Becky – I love him!
