Here’s an orange project for you – it measures 16” x 22”. It’s a very simple little pattern called Playhouse Pumpkin.
Here’s a picture sent to me by our good friend Betty in Rapid City of her Playhouse Pumpkin. (yes, Betty, I saved it!)

We first made this little quilt and hung it on the door to the playhouse – thus the name.
It’s a very simple pattern with drawings and measurements only. I’d be happy to send it to you for $5.00 and a SASE – for those who don’t know what SASE means, it means a self addressed stamped envelope.
Here’s the one I made last year and I hope to make several this year to give to friends.

So if you’re looking for a quick easy fun ORANGE project, I found it for you!
I have a big piece of orange grunge. It’s got some pink ’grunged’ into it, so it might be hard to use for a pumpkin! But, I used last months challenge to get rid of a specific piece of yellow and I’m going to use the orange grunge some way for this months challenge!
Jill Klop – good for you! If I recall, the yellow was grunge, too. Just think – you’re using these fabrics and chances are you’re going to love the end results.
Nothing wrong with “pinks” in an orange quilt
I liked Betty’s pumpkin colors. And the one you made last year, Mary. The darker, more muted tones I prefer.
I did get out of the hospital Wednesday but it was very late. My dear husband did help me and we got the donation for Patriot’s fund raiser in the mail late Thursday. We sent it the fastest way so it could be credited to you Mary, and hopefully arrive by tomorrow. I sure hope it does.
Enjoy the long eeekend!
Beautiful Pumpkin Wall Hanging!!! I am spending the summer on the Canadian border, in northeastern Minnesota. Fall arrived on Saturday!!!! Time for Pumpkins!!!
Paula – NE Minnesota must be quite a change for you! Are you enjoying it?
