I had some time today to go to Staples and look at a copier. I walked thru the aisles and then went to the counter and asked for help with the different types of copiers. Both guys stood back with their hands in the air informing me neither of them knew anything about copiers. All they could do was read the description off the card next to each copier which I could do myself. I wanted them to help me set it up and make sure I knew how to operate it. No way!
So I bought the only copier that copies 11×17 paper which is the size the patterns are printed on. I get it home and start reading the setup directions. Everything went fine until I got to Tray 1 to make a sample copy. Yup, the paper crumpled up inside the copier and now I can’t even open Tray 1. Ugh. This is exactly what I wanted to avoid! I called customer service who said they’d call me. Well, somehow, even though my phone was in my pocket, I missed the call!!!! So I tried to open the tray again – no luck. So at this moment I still don’t have a copy machine. I know you want to order Country Threads patterns so I must have a copier.
I know it’s going to freeze tonight so the remainder of the plants had to come in. I cleaned the debris, sprayed pretty forcibly with a hose to dislodge any bugs, let them dry and then sprayed with an insecticide. Take a look – and then remember that I choose to do this – it’s a hobby and some of these plants are decades old. I have given dozens of small plants away this summer but these remaining plants are like old friends. And when one gets sorta good at keeping plants alive, they get big! Haha!

Geranium clippings – every one of these is potentially a new plant! And I didn’t do it – are you proud of me? Hahahaha!!!!
I might be too tired to sew tonight – what a shame – watching baseball instead. The next big job will be to close up the porch – very sad. I wonder if I’ll be around to sit in the porch again, move my plants outside again. Cancer is scary. The word alone strikes fear in one’s heart. But at this time I’m completely pain free and feeling good!
More tiny flying geese – can you guess what I’m working on?

Mary, I do not know if you will see this or not, but I believe customer service died with Covid and people feeling they are entitled! We have been dealing with a septic system problem since June of 2024. I could rant for hours I will not. We have 2 steps left and have been waiting for 6 weeks to get this finished up. We are being held captive because the original system was not installed correctly, fortunately it’s only been a year since it was installed. I wish you luck on the copier!!! People used to take pride in their work! I wish those days would return.
Keep us posted on the copier rant and enjoy your plants, my mother had a green thumb, my thumb is loaded with round up.
I am confident that your surgery will be a success. It’s very hard to wait and not let it consume you! Your I. My prayers…
Dear Mary,
Yes, cancer is scary!
Know that God knows your fears and is there to comfort you.
You have all of us sending prayers for you.
God’s peace, Sandra in Virginia
Mary, you have all your plants in and now you can rest! With that surgery hanging over your head it is not easy to relax. But, remember we all love you and are praying for positive results! Jay had the big C also. It was testicular cancer which is rare for someone in their 70s. We were very shaken! He had the surgery and will go for his 11 year checkup this winter! 💕
Loved all the pictures!
It didn’t get to 60 today. Maybe tomorrow. But windy forecast!
I have to have a tooth pulled tomorrow! Ugh!
Have a good night and look forward to your next blog! Love you!
Good morning Mary and followers of the blog! Crisp morning here, it got to 28* and I did cover almost all of my flower pots, but soon they will go to the compost pile except for the geraniums, I will save them and put them in a brown paper bag and store them in the basement under the stairs for the winter. I am looking for a couple new projects now that I have completed my quilt and bag. I have a couple UFO’s to do yes, but. I went thru all my patterns yesterday and found a few pumpkin appliqué patterns…K could be busy for a long time. I am going to do a couple of your patterns. I think 1999 was my year, or your year for appliqué and pumpkins!! I also found two maple leaf wall hanging patterns. Also many more on my like list! I will be busy looking for fabrics now for my ideas. Also, I have to find plastic sheets so I can trace items too. Back in the day when everyone seemed to appliqué,..all I can say is wow…I have a lot of respect for those who embraced the process! Beautiful results..but a lot of work which is the rest of the story for my deeper appreciation for the process. Quilting has evolved for sure. Beautiful day here, the leaves should start falling Soon with the frost. Seasons evolve.
I can relate to your rant about the copier. Had my share of them and would go crazy every time my copier wouldn’t work anymore. I think they plan them to go obsolite. I have given up. Have to go to the library if I have a print job. I
You have so much talent and passion. Enjoy your hobbies. Part of our joy of living. I have 2 plants I’m keeping alive and I’m proud of my little success. Ha ha
Beautiful quilts today.Envious of the success of others.
Remember we’re all praying for you. Spring will be here before you know it. And you’ll be cleaning up your porch.
God bless.
I love all the plants. They remind me of my grandmother that had a grow light in her basement and rooted many cuttings for the next year. I recognize some of the plants I once had, but no longer do. I feel good to have kept my mother’s shamrock going for 16 years; they are easy to grow if they get watered.
The AG doll and quilt are so sweet. I made some AG clothes for my daughter. I’m thinking of making some to go with dolls for a December toy giveaway. I’d best get busy.
Good luck with the printer/copier! Others have given good advice.
Prayers for your surgery.
There are lots of words of encouragement, inspiration and caring in today’s comments. It was more uplifting than my daily devotion.
Sheryl – yes! I think I was just overly tired last night and having a “moment” – this morning is another day and I’m really fine. The copier really got me down.
Mary, remind me when is your surgery scheduled?
I know you are in good hands with Mayo – so frustrating before you got that referral.
And you know you are in God’s hands…..Be still
Rosalie – surgery scheduled for late November but I’m on the call list because I could pick up and go if there was a cancellation. Yes, July was a terrible month for me.
God walks with you, our prayers are with you too!! When my son was deployed to Iraq and later Afghanistan he told me that in his scariest moments he could feel our prayers… I hope our prayers give you strength and peace… thank you for sharing your beautiful country life with us- plants, barn babies, kitties and dogs all the blessings of Country Life❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼a WI Quilter
Ruth – and I do feel all your encouragement and caring thoughts. I was just overly tired last night and the copier did me in. If your son was in the Middle East I’ll bet you were scared – I would be!! So glad he made it home again. And yes, it is a beautiful country life!
I have been Stage 3 with non-hopkins lymphoma for over 2 years with no pain and have not had any treatment. Mine is growing slowly and not aggressive. The doctor predicted I have 5 years before I will need treatment. I am just leaving it up to God and enjoying the time I have now. Was told my cancer is treatable but not curable.
Dee – wow! My oncologist told me everyone has cancer cells in their body but wouldn’t know unless they began changing/growing. I think it’s simply wonderful that you are living your life without cancer taking over!! Thanks for writing!
You earned the green thumb award. I now grow plastic succulents because I never figured out how to keep the real ones alive.
Cancer sucks but you are in the best of hands at Mayo and Dr. Robinson knows his cancers! I am now four years, three months, and sixteen days cancer free and hope to keep it that way. Yes, it is depressing to sit and wait for the surgery, wondering what it is happening inside your body, but you are obviously one tough cookie running a farm! and keeping all us followers entertained.
Donna – I think I was just having a moment last night – I know I’m in good hands and never doubt it. I do know how booked up Mayo is and because this cancer is nonaggressive I could wait ….but that’s the hard part – planning on how I’m going to manage when I get home. Trying to think of all possibilities and they are endless – trying to keep my mind calm.
I understand your frustration with trying to find help when you live in a rural area. (My closest Walmart is 35 miles away and, closest Best Buy 100 miles.) Especially when it’s next to impossible to talk to a real customer service person. Best of luck with your copier.
Your plants look just beautiful inside. After caring for them for years, they’re like old friends.
Your long wait for surgery is difficult as you have too much time to think/worry. So many encouraging comments to get you through this time and lots of prayers coming your way.
Connie – that’s it right there! Too much time waiting and thinking!
Mary so many of us are praying and supporting you from afar during your cancer journey!
Customer service is NON-EXISTENT!!! I’m so sorry you are having copier issues – that stinks. Hang in there as I know you’ll tackle it and get it fixed – you always persevere.
Love all the quilts. The barn one was stunning
Hi Mary,
If U Tube isn’t helpful, I would first try calling customer service or customer support of the brand name of your new copier. They should be able to help you get it set up. If not, try calling a young person or teenager to help you. We get our son to help us quite often. You might want to call Staples home office, or customer service. Our Staples store contracts with folks who will come out to your house to help fix something. It’s not cheap, but worth a call.
Machines are great until they don’t work. Here’s a thought: who in your town uses a copier a lot? Think about a secretary, especially someone who works in a small office, a church office or local self-owned business like a flower shop, cafe, etc. Who or how do they fix their own paper jams and copier problems or who do they have that services their electronics? There is a saying that you are only three contacts away from the person who knows what to do. So you ask someone who asks someone else who in turn asks another person and that third person knows the exact person you need. By the way, did you know paper has a right side and a wrong side? When you open a ream, keep the wrapper seam side up. That is the side of the paper to put face up in the paper tray. And yes, fan the paper first.
Youtube is a fantastic teaching tool – hubby uses it all the time too. It’s like quilting tutorials – there is something for everything imaginable. I got a roomba for Christmas and I had to watch 4 different youtubes before I found the one that addressed my problem. It was a matter of finding and scanning the black Qcode on a black unit, not the obvious one one the paper card. Little thing, but dumb – who would design an important thing like that and make it black on black?
I’ve finished a couple of little projects but the sewing mojo is still on vacation. So I love looking at all the quilt projects others are busy doing. Peak colors are here in south central Iowa.
Linda – you are always a wealth of information! I should just ask you first – ha! I have a few more things to put away outside but then I will start by calling customer service and go from there.
I believe Hazel is thinking – I know I didn’t make this mess, who did? Will mom think I did it? I know I didn’t, someone had fun but not me….oh boy, where’s mom, I didn’t do it! She is so cute!!
It’s wonderful that so many support your plant care. I do to and wish I had the ambition to do something like that but I have become very lazy and seem to do only what is necessary. My go getting days are over and now devoted to other things I like to do more than what I must do. Just think, in the cold snowy days of winter you can escape to all that’s green and growing.
Stay strong, you are strong and you’re a fighter, cancer can be beaten and you can beat this – we are all praying for your speedy recovery. Blessings always
You describe me so well. I used to do so much and now I can’t seem to get the energy! Sometimes I just don’t know where the old me went.
Carolyn – as I’m reading Margaret’s birthday cards I came across yours called Advice from a Dog and I loved it!!! Tell me about your Buster – I can’t remember
Mary, I love all your plants and totally understand why you take such good care of them. They are old friends. I spent over 3 hours today in my backyard dead-heading roses and hydrangeas, pulling dead calla lily leaves, pulling weeds and cutting back a plant that was growing into the yard and smothering my azalea. Can’t let them die, my husband planted most of them. It was a perfect day for working in the yard. I’m sure I’ll be sore tomorrow. I filled my large green compost trashcan that will be picked up tomorrow.
Such beautiful trees and quilts today! Thank you for sharing all of them.
You have so many people praying for you. That ugly C word doesn’t have a chance. I’m praying God gives you peace and comfort and healing and that you will have many more years sitting on your porch.
Charlotte – thank you – I think I was just having a moment – I’m okay really. It had just been a very long hard day and it will get better because the outside work will be done
I so look forward to reading your blog every day. Before you go to the you tube route with your copier you might like to see what the support address is with the idea that you will be able to chat with the company support people. I have had excellent results by doing this when it is something that Best Buy is not available for. attempting something too soon with you tube may result in voiding what warranty you may have (30 day etc) A recent dilemma with the strips not working with my husband’s glucose meter was frustrating both of us even after the pharmacist at no charge replaced his strips. So I did the support chat and found out that the device was the culprit (no longer manufacturing it) and they are shipping a new device that is scheduled to arrive tomorrow (tracking number confirms) . I hope this will be of some encouragement. Who needs another challenge especially with your health dilemma. Prayers for sure.
mary, first things first. i want to share my favorite saying with you. it has gotten me through so many difficult times over the last 50+ years. ‘God will not put anything in front of me that He and I cannot get through together.’ at one time i wrote this in lipstick on my bathroom mirror. it has helped me lots. but whatever works for you. we are all praying for you and we all know that prayer works.
when you bring all the plants in, it is like you are living in a ‘living jungle’ and you get to be among it all the time. it must make you very happy. it certainly looks happy.
all the quilts and the doll with bed and quilt are fantastic. plus all the trees. i just love trees. i think i could live happily in a forest – but i’d have to be able to climb the tree to see the far distance. that view is what i miss most about texas. all that open land with grass lands and trees and hills. just nature and God at his finest. it makes me happy.
today i spent my sewing time cleaning off my sewing table. but … it all ended up on my ironing board. i turned around and started cleaning my machine and giving it a good cleaning out and oiling. changed needles. wound bobbins for a quilt i need to quilt for angels (after i chose the thread). then chose thread for the top. have not started quilting yet, still have to decide what to do. it will be good practice in seeing if i can deal with it on my personal machine (about 50×50″).
and yes, i could have been making myself a pumpkin quilt. it would like purple thread wouldn’t it?
i hear all these temps going down and people gearing up for soup weather and sweaters, etc. i don’t think i even have a sweater any more. i do have a sweatshirt hoodie. that’s my winter coat. i’m so looking forward to the power bill going down. when all you people are freezing during the winter, just come visit me. you’ll warm up quickly. but realize that for most of us in florida, freezing starts at 45 degrees. ha!
today i discovered that i can’t buy fabric (not that i need any) but because i am using that money on paying someone to clean my house. it is a great exchange. i am not deprived.
i should go to bed. i love all the conversations. hugs to all, patti in florida
I would love to see your dolls in pajamas too! I don’t have a Chatty Cathy but I do have a Ginny doll and an American Girl doll here that were my daughter’s. I’ve made clothes for the AGD and would like to make some for the Ginny doll some day. Your little quilt and bed are adorable. Jan in MA
Thank you Jan. I still enjoy sewing doll quilts and doll clothes. Ginny dolls are shorter than a Barbie doll but so cute. I should go look for some good quality double brushed flannel at a quilt shop to make pjs as it would be a fun project and several of us here like dolls. Yesterday I looked at the Halloween decorations at Walmart all marked down and thought so many were so pathetic, cheesy, so cheaply made that i thought no wonder they are stuck with this stuff. Young families don’t want clutter around like we do and I decorate my mantle still but my own kids do not collect holiday decor. I use to even put my dolls around a little table for a thanksgiving scene!
Kathy – I’m sending you an email – look for it
Jan Hebert – we must be about the same age because I have a Ginny doll, too. Mom wouldnt let me have a sexy Barbie doll!
Oh Mary, I can relate. My mom was against Barbies and that’s all I wanted. I gave my girls Barbies, and my daughter didn’t let her daughter’s have Barbies!! Funny. I did sew quite a few American Girl doll clothes and had fun doingbit.
My grandma gave me my first bubble cut Barbie and a suitcase of hand sewn clothes I still have. And the next year my last doll from her was a bride doll! It’s one of those moments I wish my mom was still around to ask her how she felt about that. I still chuckle I was probably 12 yrs old and got a Barbie doll.
Mary, I am guessing you get some guff from people who think the plants are too much work and suggest you should cut back (no pun intended) or wonder why you put yourself through all of that. It’s been my experience that people who have things in their life to care for/tend to are people who tend to thrive more than people who need to think only about themselves and their own concerns. This seems to be especially true is recovering from an injury/surgery/set back of some sort. Sometimes it’s hard to find a reason to get up and get going if what you’re going back to is sitting in your favorite chair watching “Law and Order” or reading a nice book. (No knock on those things, I’ve been known to do both, happily.) But if you have a dog waiting for you, or you need to check a water bowl, or water a plant you’ve nurtured for years, you have a real motivation to pull it together and get moving. It might not feel great at the moment, physically, but I think it’s good for you. It’s been good for me, and I saw it help my mom heal after an amputation, and keep my aunt independent as she tended to her many rescued pugs after her hip replacement, and my elderly neighbors who “carried on” despite hardships few others knew about. I trust you’ll find the right balance, and ask for help when it’s needed, but keep doing the things that matter to you. That’s what keeps the world going.
Beth – thank you! I couldn’t have said it better myself! Yes, many have chided me for having so much of everything to take care of but what would I do all day otherwise? I cannot sit and watch tv and yes, reading is a favorite pastime but all day? When people tell me I work too hard or something equally as offensive, I wonder what they do all day. The days are long if you just sit and get old. My surgery will probably go fine but the worry remains and the waiting is hard. Thank you for writing!
i couldn’t have said it better, beth. thank you for writing that. something all of us need to hear, not just mary. thanks again, patti in florida
Hi Mary,
I completely understand your plant habit. I am still growing plants that came from my mother in 1969. I love keeping them going, of course they are generations later, but it’s amazing how I can remember their history when I can’t remember simple daily things sometimes. Ha, ha. My mom taught me the love of gardening and sewing. I love keeping her memory alive.
Thank you for sharing your cancer with us. Scary is right. I’m thinking of you every day and hoping you get through November to the other side and can have some relief and happiness again. Love you, Susy
Susy – one of my Hoya plants came to me from a ob-gyn doctor I worked for in the 70’s. I, too, love to keep it alive and healthy. I try very hard never to buy a new houseplant…..unless it’s one I don’t have! Hahaha!!!!!
Hi Mary, I also have a Hoya plant that I bought about 1972 in a two inch pot. It’s a Carnosa Rubia! I love saying that trying to roll my “R’s”. Our plants are our friends/family.
Susy
If you can’t get help with your copier you might try u tube. Put in the brand and the number of the printer and the problem you might get a video on how to fix your problem. I’ve used it various times when I couldn’t figure things out. It’s worth a try. I’ve trouble shooted problems with my sewing machine and my husband and I changed brake rotors on my truck all by watching videos
Marie c – excellent advice! Thank you!
Hazel must be thinking “well, who made this mess, cuz it sure wasn’t me!” … lol! I sure miss the days when you could buy an appliance or tech equipment, bring it home, plug it in and you’re off and running! I know the day will come when I won’t even be able to watch tv, because I can’t work the remote control … grrr! I totally feel your pain, and I’m no help to you! Have a good week anyway!
besides creating a green curtain for wintertime, bringing in our plants is an act of love and of hope.
they give us something (besides / in addition to our pets) to nurture and distract us from thinking of only ourselves. plants and pets keep us active and mentally healthy. possibly a bit crazy, but certainly in good company!! hugs 🙂
Kit – your comment is very inspirational! I really like taking care of things – especially plants and pets. Sounds like you do, too? Tell me.
Mary,
I love reading your blog and seeing all the pictures. I don’t write very often but I wanted you to know that you are on my prayer list! I had breast cancer 4 years ago and they got it all. Just hang in there and keep the faith. You got this!!
Mary, I am sending lots of hugs to you! So sorry you had such a difficult time with the copier. Prayers that you will sleep well and that tomorrow will be a brighter day.
Glad you have your plants ready for the winter.
Take care and allow yourself some time to rest. We are all hoping for the best for you.
Mary , Your plant collection is spectacular. When we enjoy something it is not a job we are facing but an act of love and the privilege of caring for something that is important to us. I admire the beautiful trees in the pictures. Haven’t seen any that pretty yet here in the Hocking Valley in SE Ohio.
Keep your faith in GOD and put on your boxing gloves to beat that cancer to a pulp. All you friends and supporters know you’ll come out as the Victor!!
Today was a great post. When I saw the porch, I felt you would extend your summer sitting out there. Then I saw the mess and thought Hazel did it. I’m glad she innocent.
Keep your head high. I’m a cancer survivor of almost 43 years. Keep busy and as long as you feel good, you’ll be good. Don’t dwell on the C word. I can’t lie, when they cut the abdomen area, it hurts. Ask if they can take a little fat while they’re in there. Won’t hurt to ask!!! I wish I was there to help you.
If the doctors office offers home health care…take it. Get some ice tea stashed.
Take care my friend.
Oh Mary, I feel for you with the frustration of getting electronics to work. I have found that dealing directly with the Geek Squad in Waterloo thru Best Buy has been the best experience ever. I have purchased in recent months a new tv, sound bar, security cameras and a printer. They have come to my house with all of these items and a phone call away when I need help. I purchased an HP Printer because they have a great “Ink Plan” based on how many copies you make each month and the replacement ink cartridges come right to your house. Hoping you get things worked out. I’d take the printer back and go where you get knowledge and support of the products you spend your hard earned money on.
Mary – I hate to yell BUT Best Buy and the Geek Squad left town years ago! And frankly I’d hire anyone willing to help – who would that be????? We bought our big tv from Best Buy years ago and yes, the Geek Squad came and hooked it up. After several of my questions, one of the Geeks said to me “Are you sure a smart tv is for you?” So there’s my experience – this is Mason City not Waterloo and I love living in a rural area until services aren’t available. I cannot drive two hours to shop. I am thrilled that the Geek Squad is there for you – I wish they were still around here. Rant over.
You have no idea how many people are praying for you to enjoy your porch next year and many years after that. I have 1st hand knowledge of what you are going through. It isn’t easy. A good friend keeps reminding me to trust God’s plan.
I’m so sorry you’re having problems with your new copier. Paper jams usually occur when the paper isn’t loaded properly. That is, the paper isn’t aligned properly in the tray. The instructions probably didn’t tell you to fan the paper, load carefully and avoid overfilling the tray. If I lived closer, I’d be there in a heartbeat to help you.
The BIG C word is scary but you are on top of things. The unknown is the scariest of things.
The barn quilt shown was my favorite even though the rest of the quilts were spectacular.
One of the things I do when the leaves change and fall I get myself a sandwich and go somewhere and sit among the falling leaves and eat my lunch and let the world go by. It is my favorite time of the year and am plotting my place as we speak. Usually a state park and I am fortunate as I have several around me. With the world as it is right now I might get a sub and sit for a WHILE.
Mary. You have a lot of prayers going up for you and we have your back. We are in your corner
I’m so glad people made your pumpkin pattern you offered to us. Fun to see.
It’s so hard for our generation to shop as things we get use to using are discontinued and then no one replaces them. And if they do, it is even more complicated than the original. I hope tomorrow you get some customer service on the printer.
I did my every three or four months run to Walmart to stock up on canned soups for casseroles, etc. I saw an electric can opener that sits on the counter. I bought it. I already have one that was my in-laws but I’m so afraid it will die some day and I won’t find another one unless I shop online. I can’t use those hand can openers anymore.
Cancer is a scary word and I remember actually trembling when I sat waiting for my first test for the oncologist. I keep a quote on my fridge to view all the time that reads. “ The secret to success is to get started” . It helped me move ahead and get to the finish line with trust in my team and faith as you will too.
Oh Mary! I’d be so frustrated too! My friend hires the Geek Squad, not sure if you have them up there or not. I spent an hour on the phone with the credit card company last week because a merchant issued me a credit and the CCc company denied it as suspicious! A credit!! Took me an hour!! I love the quilt with the 9 jack-o’-lanterns! I have faith that you WILL enjoy that porch next Spring!
Oh Mary I am so sorry!!! It is SO frustrating!!!! There is no customer service any more. Anywhere. I recently bought a new phone and had similar frustrations….. Wish I lived closer to help. My advice is to find a young person (maybe someone at church?) and have them come help you. All this technology is for the young….. ha. I love what you do with the plants….. you won’t hear any criticism from me. 😃
Is that a Chatty Cathy doll in the picture with the quilt with the pumpkin borders? Chatty Cathy was my last doll. I loved her.
Janet, that is an American Girl doll. I sewed the outfit for her years back and made the quilt from a Little Quilts pattern. I do have Chatty Cathy dolls though. It was one I wanted so badly as a child and did not get from Santa so my husband bought me one 35 years ago and several more after that. I have always wanted to make flannel pjs and nightgowns for my collection and put them around a tree.
Kathy – wouldn’t that be a scene? All the dolls around the tree in pjs? I hope you do it some time….and then show us
Oh yes, I love all your plants, but it is a job getting them all ready for the inside. I’m not sure if you have several places you put them all. I love plants too but don’t have the space or window light needed to nurture them very well. I have kept poinsettia plants through several years. They never return to the glory they were when I bought them but they still produce the colored bracts. Anyway I feel when a plant isn’t performing well it’s time to go and then I feel badly that I am killing it.
Loving all the Fall quilts. I especially like the crow on the cornstalk with the pumpkins and sun coming up behind it.
I loved the pictures of Hazel. She makes me laugh every time I see her knowing her antics and late night escapes
in the great outdoors in the dark of night.
And then. Seeing her dead to the world.
We just returned from a trip to New Hampshire via car to see our 2 grandkids. It was jam packed with soccer games, a bd celebration, planting of hostas, ferns, Lenten rose, wild daylilies at the pt bldg my son bought in the Spring to accommodate his practice. A lot of digging and hauling water and backaches. Hmm!
It’s cold here tonight with chance of Frost. I broke down and turned the heat on. I hate being cold.
I’m going with the gal who trusts you will again be sitting in your porch next summer. And yes, cancer is scary.I’m sorry I’ve rambled. You are in my prayers. Until next time.
Pat in Md
Pat – loved your ramble! We had a hard freeze last night – it’s time to be done outside and I’m setting up my little “nest” in the front room with the best reading light and book selection. The old couch I was going to throw out has now been taken over by Keeper so I don’t have the heart to get rid of it. Loved hearing about your trip! Busy, busy! Our heat has been on for weeks because Rick is so cold. Me? I’m wearing a tank top – ha!! No wonder I could sit in the porch until mid October
