Ready for Rose!

Got the porch decorated for Flag Day and Fourth of July.

And the table of course! Antique American flags!

We got married 21 years ago on Flag Day – here’s the quilt called Wedding Day which I hang outside my door every year. It’s getting faded and worn – just like me. Ha!

Now I’m as ready as I can be for Rose’s visit – still much more could be done but I’m heading to the porch to rest before she gets here. This chair is calling my name!

Happy Anniversary! Love your flag decor – I love red, white and blue! That chair looks so inviting, don’t blame you for wanting to take a break! Maybe a little nap? That would be nice.

Looks great as usual. And feels even better having it all done for the summer!

I love your porch and that you decorate it for flag day/your anniversary and 4th of july. Its very inviting. One observation I have is that I don’t see your ad’s until I click on “comment”. I’m not sure if others have this experience too. I will pay more attention the next time you send a post. Of course I click on the ad’s. 😉

Janet – I’ve heard you have to go to our homepage and not just the email.

I went to the home page and there was nothing there but faded out blog entries. I haven’t seen any ads. Love your patriotic decorations.

Something about decorating with red white and blue that seems so happy this time of year. I think it’s great some people decorate their homes entirely year round with Americana look. To celebrate an anniversary on Flag Day brings even happier thoughts! Enjoy your visit and thanks for sharing your porch for all of us to relax with.

    Opps…
I meant June 14th. My first niece was born on June 14 but she passed in 1999 at only 42 years.

Your patriotic decorations are delightful, especially the guy on the bicycle. Having been born and raised in the original 13 states, the patriotic theme traces my roots to the 1620s in the USA. Love it!
Hope you enjoyed that beer and maybe working in another!

Love the porch and decorations. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere so have a beer!! Is the Uncle Sam on the bike from one of your books? He is very cute. I get the ads when I read the blog on my computer, but not my iPad. That’s odd, but I do click on them😃

Love your decor, thanks for sharing. Your porch looks like the perfect place to relax with a book, some hand sewing, or just snoozing. You reminded me I have a kit in the basement I wanted to sew for the fourth. Guess I’ll have to get down there and find it!

Your home seems so welcoming! It must be a treat for anyone who visits you. I looooove that Circling Swallows quilt on the table. That block has always mesmerized me.
