We have talked and laughed more than we’ve sewed but here are Connie’s two finished blocks.
Here are Rose’s blocks so far.
Rose brought us fabric strips that she cut with her die cutter, the Accuquilt Go. Rose suggested going to their website to watch the tutorial. I cannot give you any information about it since I have no experience using one successfully but Rose loves hers!
Rose wanted Ernie Joe Mauer to “bless” her quilt by the same name – see the backing fabric?
Bill and Rose are on their way home to Illinois – we had a fun “mini” camp. Connie and I both came away with more ideas and inspiration than we had prior to Rose’s visit. That means more unfinished projects – ugh! But oh so much fun, too.
I believe I will start the Christmas “sew along” on Monday so we will be finished before December 1. Our books arrived so yours won’t be far behind. Have a great weekend, everybody!
Looks like you had a lot of fun! Love the quilts! Love Ernie Joe!
What’s wrong with laughing and talking????
Picked up your new book Sew Charming and look forward to the sew along after the holiday. I will try to sew along starting on Monday but UFO’s may get in the way as these are Christmas gifts.
thank you for blogging. Love all your stories. It makes me feel like we are neighbors.

A mini-camp filled with chatter and laughter….the best kind!!!
I absolutely love your posts! Makes my day to read them! I love my Accuquilt cutter. I have the Go and a Studio cutter as well.
I love the “letter” blocks; it looks like y’all had fun, Ernie Joe too!
Your new book Sew Charming is just wonderful! You hit it out of the park again!
Sew Charming came in the mail today and so many great ideas. Does anybody remember “Snow Goose?” I got your blue/tan kit for it several years ago. Since there were so many bias edges in the main blocks, I put them together by hand and didn’t press until there were straight edges. The top is done, layered & basted waiting to be hand quilted….. Maybe I should get it quilted?
Your patterns are real inspiration in the small form and I look at them and see ideas for enlarging. The different color schemes are great for those of us who have more fabric than we will ever use, but who cares?
Sew Charming arrived yesterday. Lovely and inspiring pictures and great patterns. Looks like I will be busy. Looking firward to the sew along! Congratulations to you and Connie on another successful endeavor!
Our mail came very late yesterday and I didn’t go out again to see if it was there or not. Stopped at the mailbox after Church this morning and guess what was in there! My copy of “Sew Charming” AND the “Do Not Disturb #511”! Whoot Whoot!!! Can’t wait to dive in to these great patterns! Also, looking forward to the Sew-A-Long tomorrow! Let the games begin! HUGS… and stitches
