Welcome to my blog ! I’m Lynsey.
Even though I jokingly credit my grandmother for my writing talent, I know that it is a skill I have fostered from childhood. Though my mother is a writer, I also started out young.
I’ve always had a way with words, according to my favorite educator. I was always so excited in science when we had to do a research assignment .
Now, I help current learners achieve the grades that have always come easily to me. It is my way of giving back to schools because I understand the obstacles they must overcome to graduate.

Thanks, just put your check in the mail. I loved making the rugs, but it’s been quite awhile because I had a stroke and had to really work to get the use of my left arm and hand back. Life sometimes gets in the way! Now I want to make them again, but I’ve forgotten how. So thus the need for the book and dvd to refresh my memory! I also will be having “Grandma Camp” this summer and want to teach my granddaughters how to twine…thinking we’ll make purses! I remember your book and dvd were the best to learn from. So glad they’re still available! Can’t hardly wait for them to arrive! Thanks again so very much!

Thanks for your quick reply Mary. As soon as I get to the store to buy a money order, I will get it sent to you. (I don’t bother to order checks anymore since debit cards came into being!)

Is the book still available? I have a teacher that would like to teach a class in your method but I need to make sure everyone has a book. I would need several copies. Look forward to hearing from you.

I love looking at all the beautiful rugs everyone is doing! I am so thankful that there are passing on this form of art, what a tremendous gift, thank you! I have two questions. I have your book already and am wondering if it is possible to buy just the cd? Someone mentioned the farmhouse pattern. Is there a way to look at old rug patterns?
    Kindest regards,

Mary, the DVD arrived. It’s wonderful! You did a great job explaining and demonstrating it all.
I have one question… In my book (from 1997), it says to cut the warp strips 1″ but in the video you say to cut them 2″. I have cut some 1″ strips but can toss them and cut the 2″ instead. Any thoughts?

    1. CountryThreads Post author

I think 2″ strips are better – stronger and what you don’t use for warp can be used for weaving. Book has many updates since 1997 which was the very first printing. You should rely on the DVD when in question.

Betty – we can make you a copy from our historian file. Price would be $10. Just let me know if you want it.
