She’s Back!

Ok – I’m trying this post for the fourth time. Wish me luck.

Moe is back for the weekend and we were all glad to see her. Haz l was even glad to see Scott – she climbed right up in his lap.

Moe is very well behaved when she visits.

She and Hazel like to horse around – even on the couch!

I stopped at Connies yesterday to look at her gardens.

The stone walkway leads through the garden to her kitchen entry.

I love her huge jade tree/plant.

Connie’s Cobblestone quilt pattern is still available for $3.00, cash or check to Country Threads, 2345 Palm Ave,Garner, IA 50438. We sent out a bunch yesterday and got another bunch of orders today that will go out tomorrow.

I’m going to quit here before the site crashes. I’ll continue in another post.

What a beautiful space Connie has.
I’m going to help put out the flags tonight – over 300. What a wonderful display for our soldiers/sailors/airmen that have passed. Special ceremony on Monday. Maybe cut something out to sew next weekend. Weekend over.

Don’t you just know some things are meant to be done tomorrow? That is the way it goes.
I made that little quilt last summer. It was a class and kit using Civil War fabrics. I’ve been looking for the scraps and pattern to see who designed it, but haven’t found them yet. Had to move a bunch of stuff when Frank came home from the nursing home.
Our 10 year old great, great nephew was here and was very impressed with my sewing room and my “storage room.” I always thought it was overflow that had nowhere to go!
    Have a great Memorial Day.

I enjoy your posts so much. thank you for sharing. Connie’s garden is beautiful. I am always happy to see the pictures of the animals the farm, your plants and the quilts. I am so glad that I was able to visit your shop before you retired.

Beautiful garden at Connie’s home. I love the stone walk and the beauty of the plants. Looks like you’re doing fun activities. The quilt is certainly a eye catcher and I’m not that gifted to work with such an intricate pattern. Maybe I’ll do a small quilt in simple blocks to get motivated to learn more. Thanks for the news in Iowa and hope the rains are gone for awhile.

Hazel is such a stitch! Moe is so cute too. It’s amazing how green everything is after such a long, long winter. Seems like yesterday that you were moving all that snow!
