Snowball Tablerunner

Are you ready to get started?

This is what I want you to cut today:

Cutting to start

2 blue squares, 4-1/2″ x 4-1/2″

4 white squares, 1-1/4″ x 1-1/4″

4 red squares, 1-1/4″ x 1-1/4

Lay the small squares on the 4 corners of the blue squares and stitch diagonally.  Do not remove the blue square from your machine between squares.  Do the same with the red squares.

I don’t bother to trim these connector squares, just fold over and press.  Trim if you want to.

First step done!  Tomorrow we will look at layouts so you’ll know how many units to cut.

“Rescue” is our middle name again – story coming soon!

Got mine done. So excited. It is supposed to rain tomorrow so the timing is perfect!

Very interesting. You just sew and don’t bother drawing the diagonal line. I wondered about that. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s instructions.
In the meantime, I’m making the stars except I didn’t have any of the background fabric so I just used white. It is rather striking but needs some sashing or something…

Tried to enter and subscribe to your blog but it showed up as an error and tried to enter the email address again with no luck. I did try to subscribe before but realized I wasn’t getting your blog. Have been a fan of your shop and bought several patterns from you and always enjoyed your talking about your animals. My Molly was pictured in you Goat Gazette some time ago and she is now 13.

Please see if you can add me at your end. Thanks so much.
