What a lovely spot to sit and watch it snow! The cats enjoy watching the bird feeder and an occasional squirrel. The dogs and I are home alone to enjoy this peaceful scene.

I just want to wish you a happy New Year and tell you how much I enjoy your pictures and how thankful I am to live in Snellville, Ga when I see your winter weather. I was born and raised in Ga. We do not “do” snow in metro Atlanta. One snowflake and Atlantans rush to the grocery store and create a major traffic jam. Enjoy the winter weather while you are inside and curled up with a dog and cat or two and reading a good book. A great way to start the new year. Maybe get a little sewing in too!

lovely way to end a year and begin a year..snow, a fire, cat in a lap, a good book and a cup of tea…warms all the spots. Wish you all a Happy New Year 2014 ..thanks for all the news and photos, so enjoyed..

Mary, The first winter we lived in Sandy Hook, CT our CA cat walked out into the snow on our back deck and shook each paw with each step……a few neighbors were out on the road using cross country skis and my two young sons were out on our hilly lawn sliding and guess who was using a snow shovel? Snow somehow looks better from the inside of the window!
Sunny and near 67 here in Tulare today. Happy 2014!!!

It’s quite beautiful. You must really be loving all that work you had done, especially now.
Happy New Year to you all. Enjoy the snow and your animals.
Hi Mary, Happy New Year to you and your family. I had to write and say I just love all your posts, keep them coming. Whilst you are blanketed in snow we are sitting in Auckland, New Zealand in brilliant sunshine and warmth. With our son in Mason City he too keeps us up to date with the your weather. Keep warm. Regards Colleen

Susannah is fine, quite lame in her front left leg but in this cold weather, she is hunkered down in the hay under 2 heat lamps!
