Something Else I’m Working On

This is a Civil War table runner from Charm School.  I am re-making it in contemporary fabrics and colors.  I’ll be showing it to you next week.

Regarding the rug book, I will do a rug post next week, too, and give you all the info.

I have 3 dogs today.  Hope and Bandit really like each other.

Ozzie loves Telly but Telly does not feel the same way.

And Faye hates everybody!  She’s hiding out under the car even in the heat.

Isn’t that the table runner you called Snow Geese? And it was in one of your books back when? Well, I got your kit and sewed it together by hand quite a few years ago… and it is waiting to be quilted. Maybe one of these days. It is tan’s and blue’s. Following the instructions it had all bias edges until the last triangle’s. I just didn’t press it until then. Just finished your Streak of Lightning and am waiting to see what size they need for Project Warmth. How did you handle the seams, none of which were able to match easily. I just forced them, but not to my liking.

Yes, it was originally blue but then I used a charm pack to make it. Now I want to play with different fabrics — again. I love making delectable mountain blocks.

Faye loves two legged man dogs, I think I have a photo of her and Bill. BTW, I love looking at your fabrics for the new runner, out of all of those, I only have one of the fabrics. I love the horseshoe prints.

Rose – the horseshoe prints came out of a 2008 fabric roll that I have had all this time and never opened. Ha! Just have not figured out my setting triangles yet.

Haven’t made anything for awhile but your table runner block inspired me. I’ve got your Charm School books and will look it up. Anytime you don’t want Faye, I’ll be happy to take her. (yep, that’ll happen). She is adorable and the sweetest face. I’ve been seeing some coverage of the Iowa State fair and know it’s hot there. Here too in S. Calif. – 100 in the shade on my patio right now. Too much!

Thought of you when driving/riding past the local huge pumpkin patch yesterday…….plenty of blooms abound there. Always fun to take the little ones to select a few in October.
Your new contemporary fabrics will be a change in the Charm School runner for sure.
Poor Faye…..just trying to stay out of the other dogs’ play moods.
