Don’t you just love a nine patch? The Oaks measures 66″ x 66″ and like the book says ” this quilt is both easy to make and easy to live with”. This is from the book “Civil War Remembered” by Country Threads, soon to be released.
My day has been spent cleaning off flower beds — sweet!
Still waiting for the last couple of feet of snow to melt before the gardens can be tended! I am so looking forward to daffodils and hyacinths!
It was 81 degrees at my home in Colorado today. Amazing!! I can’t wait for your new book to be released. I love each quilt you have shared. Have a wonderful week.
Yesterday it was 84 in Rapid City. Tonight it is supposed to 20-30 and snow. It’s March!! Keep quilting and I really like the quilts.
Beautiful. I have three quilt projects waiting for me to begin them. I have the book on order, and I am sure after getting your new book, there will be more!
Hi Mary,
Another charmer from Civil War Remembered. And YES I love 9 patch quilts. I’m working on bordering some 2″ finished 4 patches of scrappy reds and cream prints….all set on point. Looking forward to what you post from the book tomorrow!
Lots of talk about “the Brackets” on sports news today and this evening.
Happy St. Paddy’s Day tomorrow!

This is a lovely quilt! Looking forward to your new book.
Absolutely beautiful! How exciting to be working in the garden. We have a “new” yard at an old house, needs lots of yard work and landscaping this summer. Enjoy!
Ordered the book yesterday, can’t wait! Will this be your last publication? Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!
Gorgeous quilt!! Looking forward to the new book!! :o))

Another gorgeous quilt. Not surprising the simple blocks makes the most beautiful quilts.
Sorry Mary, I have already forgotten, but the more pictures I see of these quilts, I want the book! How can we order it??
Thank you
The reproduction study group at Little Quilts in Marietta GA is having a block exchange with the blocks in The Oaks. We’ll all have 36 blocks when we finish the swap. Love the quilt – can’t wait to have the trunk show at the shop.
Definately going to get your book- also like the quilt hanging on the wall since I have a farm- is hat one of your patterns???
