The Wedding Quilt

Here it is – queen size improv-pieced quilt for Danny and Virginia’s wedding gift.  I like it again – after I work on a big project for a long time, I am really sick of it until I put it away and bring it out again.  I hope they like it.  I took pictures from all sides but the names go down the left side of the bed and the rose block is straight on.  It’s windy and I had a hard time keeping it on the fence!

The lighting could be better but now time is short.

Time to get dressed for the wedding.  Pictures tomorrow!

Quilt is lovely!……….really like the wording………..so modern, so different from your years ago work. I am using light and brighter fabric getting in the modern trend but, I still like my reproductions……I am sewing lots of scrap quilts to use up my “pile” of darks. You still inspire me!

What a beautiful treasure! So lucky are they to get a nice gift. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Love your work, and I do hear ya about not being the gardener. I sure wish I had it in me too as I love to see them and appreciate the outdoor work people put into them. I would rather be sitting at a sewing machine.

Hi Mary…The wedding quilt is lovely. A lot of “heartfelt” thought went into the planning/making/gifting to the special couple. Also Connie’s garden spaces are lush!

I agree with Diane, between the Virginia Rose dishes and the quilt, I think she is set! Very nice.
