Try Again!

The sun is out, it’s a beautiful but cold day and I’m going to try this again in a couple short posts – maybe that was the problem – I had too much content in one post.

I want to tell you that my cousin, Lynne Westafer, will be featured tonight on 48 hours as she was inside Trader Joe’s in CA last summer when the shooting took place.

In the next post you’ll see what Connie has been busy with.

Until later today – let’s see if this works first.

Connie’s dog is a beauty! The pin cushion book would be fun to win. Have a great week.

I just watched the 48 Hours show about the Trader Joe’s shooting. So glad your cousin is O.K., as well as the other people interviewed. I can’t believe how many shootings there are and no gun control. I realize there’s no easy answer, but something has to be done.

The sub is shining here today too: got busy in the garden for the first time this year, preparing for Spring.

Glad you have kept trying. Will try to watch 48 hours tonight. Sorry to hear you have been busy with so many funerals, but just remember, your music is a comfort to all those attending.

Dianne Cook – your card went in the mail today – finally. How are you feeling and what’s happening with your treatment plan?

Thanks Mary, I have a date with my surgeon on Wednesday to hear the new plans. He will have the results of another biopsy on my right breast (it was my left breast that started all this and the radiologist specialist from London Health Center should be available in early March for my procedures to go forth in a hospital closer to home. We are very lucky that some of these specialist travel to more remote areas. He was the one who ordered the MRI which discovered this new problem and the decision was made to wait a couple of weeks and only have on surgery. All our health are personnel have been wonderful. I am mainly frustrated with our weather. Roads in our area were closed for a second time this week. Our children in the area have missed so much school. Enjoy the evening.

Dianne Cook – we can certainly understand the roads and schools being closed – I hate to think how long the kids will go in June. It’s not easy living in a rural area, is it?

Not Easy, but another blog I follow from Ontario north, said the other seasons help us to endure the winter. Even now the days are getting longer.

How’s mother chicken & her chicks? Growing like Weeds I bet! We finally have sun today but more rain tonite & tomorrow. Unfortunately all our rain turns into ice & snow in the mid west. Can’t wait to see what Connie is working on now. Hang in there!

Was happy to see a blog post from you this afternoon! I will have to forgo my usual happy ending hallmark movie tonight and watch 48 hours instead now. Thanks for letting us know. Take it slow today. It’s icy outside here to walk around but sun is peeking in and out . Anxious to see what Connie is going to share with us that she made. I have had wool on my mind lately cause I think I might want to go down that road…………….

You have had a trying week, haven’t you? I think part of the “trying” is because of the bitterly cold weather and all that goes along with it. Here’s to an early spring, fewer funerals, and to better days ahead. At least the sun is shining today! That makes everything seem better.

Nothing like sunshine to perk up the inner girl. So glad you are in the golden rays today. I will be sure to watch 48 hours.
The above comment by Jo in Wyoming is both alarming and funny. What a story, Jo! Strangers and chickens for 10 hours. Yikes. After the shock of it all, you must have been quite frantic.

The sun is shining here in upstate NY but cold. Can’t wait to here what Connie is doing. Love this blog!!!

This post came through with flying colors. I, too, will be watching 48 hours. I can’t imagine what your cousin was feeling during the ordeal. I’ve been in a multi-car pileup on the interstate during a whiteout…boy oh boy, you hang on for dear life and wonder when the banging and pushing will stop. The car we hit had chickens in the trunk, we had strangers and chickens in our back seat for about 10 hours. Very thankful we could share space and HEAT.

Post came through just fine. Thanks for your efforts. Not being a techie, I am really impressed with all you do on the blog which is a bright spot in my day. 😘

Came through just fine. Looking forward to your next post. Sunny in southeast Iowa, too, but more snow predicted for tonight and tomorrow! Thanks for keeping in touch with us. Like others have said, you are like family to us.

  13. Donna

So nice to hear from you. The sun is out in Kentucky as well. It’s cold here as well, but at least they missed the prediction of snow last night!
