Yup – it reached 92 degrees here today and the wind finally switched. This is what Farmer Tim was up to today – he and all the neighbors, too.

Thank you for your $5.00 pattern orders today – I’ve already filled those orders and they’re in the mail. I think they’ll remain paper patterns only at this point – Kayla is so very busy and paper patterns are so easy for me to send out quickly – as in, the same day!
If I had just a bit more free time I’d make this Iris Banner to hang outside but….I have quite a number of complete patterns on hand that I’ll send out for $5.00 so you can make your own.

Lots more $5.00 patterns coming as paper patterns only. Mail cash or check to Country Threads, 2345 Palm Ave. Garner, IA 50438. Please include an address label and thank you!
What!!! 92 today!!! Was it humid? We are in the 70’s all week and 80 for four days at end of week with humidity before we finally get some rain. My lilacs opened today so I am thrilled to smell them. Thanks for offering more of your patterns for us!
That is hot! I thought 76* today was hot enough. I prefer 70’s! All the farmers around here are busy and the Amish were plowing with their Percherons. They are a beautiful sight. The foals are out now, too. They are so cute chasing each other. Stay cool, Mary.
Whoa!!! 92 in May for in Iowa has to be a record!! That doesn’t bode well for your summer, does it?
I’m excited for more $5 patterns! I love the door banners I’ve made through the years!! So fun to have something seasonal to hang by my back door!
I brought home my new car today—a 2022 Honda Pilot. Ready for a road trip to Minnesota!!
Diane – wow – a new car! And you actually located one to buy! Lucky you! I will listen to the news tonight to see if it was a record – it should have been.
Buying a vehicle has changed dramatically. I ordered mine in March, sight unseen. Thankfully, my previous vehicle was the same car, so I had a pretty good idea of what I was getting.
High 80’s and quite windy at times in my part of northern Illinois. Thanks for sharing the photo of Farmer Tim.
Where do you find the paper patterns?
Chris – you need to order them through me – send your money to the address I gave and I’ll mail you the pattern.
do you post the ones that are available? and if so, where do I find them? Thank you!
Look at the top of the page…there is a prompt for $5 patterns plus a number of other items.
Wow 92! It was in high 70’s here today, got some plants outside, some transplanted. Going to be in high 80’s rest of week. Our spring is over & summer is starting! Lawn is growing fast, thanks for new pattern! I like the paper patterns better than pdf.
We had 85 today, and the wind was absolutely awful. Dust was blowing off the fields. I think overnight the leaves popped out. Everything is beautifully green. Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother”s Day.
92 sounds like a hot summer commin!
We had wind, again, today.
Cute door hanging. The iris farm announced the viewing days for this year. Every flower is beautiful. The colors the breeders come up with are incredible. And the smell is unbelievable. I love going.
Wow 92, it was 41 with rain here in Idaho. I love the rain. Snow in the mountains. It will be in the high70 by next Monday ,so maybe I can plant the garden
I was optimistic and brave this weekend and changed my flannel sheets out for regular ones. Now I sit here at 58 degrees-the furnace turned back on and expecting low 40’s in the morning here in SC. We also really need rain!
I was watching a flosstube “Stitching in Idaho”. Shanda is a cross stitcher and quilter. She showed a quilt kit from Country Threads called, Take Another Look. It was in reds and some creams that she purchased around 2015. Fun to see your quilt patterns are still being enjoyed.
We are having a little warm weather here in Michigan after a cool and wet spring.
